I know what I predicted. Mark my words doubters. AND he will run it back for 6! You heard it here first!
idk about all that...maybe he causes another pick or forces another fumble, but they will never have him fall back into coverage instead he will be head down rushing the passer.
http://www.nfl.com/videos/new-york-jets/09000d5d82403fc4/Playbook-Patriots-vs-Jets breaks down the sack against the chargers, and a play by Maybin flushing Fitzpatrick out the pocket.
There were plenty of plays today where he got thrown down and sat on, but it was great to see him get 2 more sacks - especially against the Bills. I still think he'll only continue to get better - this kid does not have any quit in him.
I deserve a little credit for his performance..... I stopped by the chapel and lit a candle in his name in hopes of a big game vs his former team while I was waiting outside Best Buy for Black Friday deals.... Unfortunately despite camping out for days, the guy in front of me got the last cheap flat screen TV, I got a ticket for indecent exposure for "relieving myself" in the parking lot and I lost my job. Should've visited the Church of Revis Christ instead.... hmy: :shit:
queers. Teach Maybin to cover a LB. Make him a SS, and can Smith/Pool. Hybrid SS/ Pass rusher. Then draft another OLB Rusher.
He's just coming into his own at LB and leading the team in sacks and you want to move him to safety?
I thought it was interesting that the announcers remarked on his size and compared his frame/speed to that of a cornerback. Knowing that Rex loves his corners and using them in blitz packages, it really makes sense as to why he is having success as a pass rusher in this Defense. I love seeing him rack up the sacks and run non-stop after the QB. I hope he continues to get better and better.
looking at this again, im shocked it wasnt helmet to helmet call. it looks like they are facemask to facemask.
No way that was a penalty. He didn't lead with his helmet at all - he went straight up and wrapped up with both arms - textbook tackle - Maybin is the man!!
Yes! .... and we want him to run the wild cat in a split back feild with McKnight and cromartie! Return Punts and kicks, and maybe be the fucking valet for VIP parking. Speed kills bitches!
i dont disagree, he didnt lead with his head at all. But it has been seen in the past that any time a defender contacts the helmet (in any way, especially with their own helmet) its a flag. What Maybin did should be legal. I would have been pissed had a flag been thrown, but it wasn't impossible it could have been tossed.
