If I may, I'd like to add one more post about the jets RB situation. There seems to be a mild panic with the realization that Curtis Martin may not play this year or ever. I hear/read that we're doomed and should mail it in. Martin in his prime was the greatest, but I really think it was high time the jets looked elsewhere anyway. I think that the combination of Washington and Houston could give us the same fire/ice combination that Oakland had with Kaufmann/Wheatley a few years ago. I'm not that convinced that Blaylock is the real deal, but I really like Houston's potential when combined with Washington for a change of pace. I don't think the jets are going to the playoffs in any event this year (next year you bet), but I do think that that RB combo, in my opinion only, could run well behind what I see is an improved offensive line. I also think that our 2006 running game depends a great deal on who starts at TE--I have believed for a long time that Doug Jolley couldn't block a 3rd string linebacker.
Thats a bit harsh dont you think??? How can u make such a finite statement like that??? What happens if we have Leon Washington starting in three years, we have a experienced leader qb clemens, experienced secondary, the BEST LT and C in the league... (lets pretend) can we win then??
funny, considering your name. i guess we wont get to ther playoffs with out Chad ol' boy either. har de har har.
