We really need a top receiver, safety, pass rusher, guard, and sadly even a RB so we probably can't even go WR with our first in the draft.

I honestly can't remember too many times he actually completed a deep pass this season. All I remember seeing are overthrown/underthrown passes and interceptions.

Braylon was very underrated last season. He had a very good year.

Why is everyone getting blame but Sanchez the kid sucks, How many quarterbacks are good with mediocre Wr's, Sanchez has 2 above average wr's. Even with Braylon and Buress he still sucked.

With Sanchez at the helm, the Jets have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. But I would also agree that the FO made serious gaffs last offseason by letting Cotchery and Edwards go. Snachez finally developed some chemistry with his receivers, and the FO blew it up. The evidence says the FO and coaching ranks may need to be shaken up this offseason. Ask yourself how many teams would rush to hire Rex as a HC after seeing how his bluster blew up the Jets chances by motivating almost every opponent. When he wins games, other coaches scratch their heads and give him his due...but when he loses, he looks outcoached and foolish.

Add OT to that list, hunter is absolute garbage. I wish we could somehow convince braylon to come back but i think he probably resents the front office too much after this past offseason.

The Steelers made out well by picking up Cotchery. We lost two good receivers who were great receivers for the Jets just because they had developed chemistry and trust with Sanchez.

    Becuz schotty sux1!

Maybe because the reason Sanchez was handcuffed in the first place was because they knew his limitations. So the playcalling was designed in a way that Sanchez wouldn't have to do too much. Now the jets are taking the handcuffs off and he's still playing like an in over his head rookie.

Even in 2006 with no running game and worst receivers our offense wasn't this bad.

What also sux is that the rest of the division is finally improving. It's not just the Jets vs. the Pats anymore - the Bills are coming hard and the Phins are putting it together as well. Over the next two seasons, the Jets have to vastly improve or be stuck in mediocrity.

Sanchez completed 14/17 at the half, how's that for stats? He's underthrowing or overthrowing his receivers because Schotty keeps putting him in 3rd and long yardage situation. Constant pressure because our O-line is swiss cheese.

Playcalling hasn't changed at all in the 6 years he's been OC. I'm not sure why anyone would think that replacing Sanchez with any other QB in the league is going to make the slightest difference.

Or maybe it's the same offense for 6 seasons already

Or offense wasn't this bad? But it was still bad

When will it be time for Brian to put up or shut up? year 10? His 5th quarterback and 20th WR?

and the throws were so far off and more critical. pretty sure he had thrown for 90 yards at that point. 6.4 yards per throw isn't gonna cut it lol.

Who out there could possibly succeed in this garbage system with Shittenheimer? It's a freaking joke.

We've tried nearly everything already.. a veteran like Chad, a hall of famer like Favre, a 2nd round pick to develop, a top 5 pick.. and none of them have really worked out under this idiot's leadership. His system sucks, it's outdated, it's very basic, he can't create mismatches, he can't exploit weaknesses in the defense, he can't prepare well enough to get off to a good start once in a while, his playcalling sucks... it's time to go. It's just time.

No QB has succeeded under Schitty. I don't understand how Rex wouldn't love to match up week in and week out v. Schitty as a Defensive master mind.

/scratching my head on that one

This season we have had LONG time consuming drives and no home runs. We need a home run hitter badly. That's what Braylon gave us.

Example: playoffs against New England Braylon catches a short slant and buries the 2 db's for glory. Game at Miami where Braylon sat out first quarter (DUI) catches a ball man on man coverage turns toward the sideline and takes it 50yds to the house. Holmes and Burress have not broke a big one once this year.

Go back to basics and be who we are. A strong defense and a strong running game with play-action homerun hitter. Offensive line has to be much better. Receivers have to be tougher and faster. Burress is too slow and Holmes recently turned into a pussy. (he was once good, now he is soft and a bitch)

That's the whole point, all Schotty calls for is short yard plays. Over, and over and over. We aren't effectively moving the ball on the ground and slant passes are not going to make up the yardage difference.
