I think it's a field goal game either way. If the crowd is rocking, it should make the difference. 60+% Jets 27 Pats 24
I'm confident the Pats aren't that good a football team right now. I have no idea if the Jets are a really good football team right now. I'm confident that for the first time in a long time we have more talent on both sides of the ball than the Pats and Brady has taken more hits the last few weeks than I can remember. I think the punishment is starting to take a toll on him and he coughs up the football a couple of times. We need to finish drives. That's what I'm not confident about.
I've absolutely never been more confident of beating them during the Brady era than I am for this upcoming week.
The only thing that stymies my confidence about this game is this irrational feeling that the football gods won't let the Pats lose 3 games in a row.
Stupid and off point, I know, but what does your calculator come up with for 149 out of 259? My gozintas yield 57.5
If Smith plays smart, the play calling is great, and we are getting to Brady early, Jets should easily win this game. Since I think thats going to happen, i'd say 90+.
I would have to say Jets had better be cautious though. Cutting Fat Al is their way of showing "Do it our way, or take the highway." Much like canning Mason for us. See how that turned out for us. That locker room will be tight again. If Jets are not careful, they would be in for a rude awakening.
Very confident. This dynasty is over, the foundations are crumbling. Belichick's hand picked defense is a shambles, and Br*dy is easily rattled. I predict a massacre
My gut tells me this is where we get over the hump. This is where we put the Pats in our mirrors and get on with it. I trust my gut. Especially since I have NEVER felt this confident before a Jets/Pats game before, no matter where it was played. I do not underestimate the Pats, ever, but I really do not think this game will be a 3 pointer....I think we WIN this one and make a statement while we are doin it.  ats_suck:
That's BB recognizing that its going to take more than a good week of practice to have a chance in this one.....BB is no dummy. It will tighten them up, I agree, but I have been watching them and they really are not that good...... Brady is Brady, but keep him in check and they are "human."
Im just never too confident going up against Brady. You can give him scrubs and he can still beat you. I will be at 50%. Sanchez has to be very smart and efficient with the ball. He can not turn the ball over. We need to have a positive turnover ratio to have a shot at winning this. We also need to convert our redzone attempts in to 7 points. FGs are not going to be enough with out 3 TDs.
Even if we win, the worst case scenario for NE is 11-5, with 12-4 more likely. They literally have no tough games left on their schedule after Sunday. If we lose we can win out and we probably still won't win the division. Massive game.
Well I was going by the original quote - .85 x .70 = 59.5 - but 149/259 = 57.5 <shrug> On topic, I feel even more confident today than I did yesterday. I think this is the game where we absolutely hammer the Pats - full on BEATDOWN!
play 60 minutes on full tilt and they will win. if they play up to their ability i truly believe them to be the better team right now
