Who will be our feature RB? I think it would be Houston. He seems to have established himself as a legitimate every down running back in TC. He has good size, strength, and has improved his speed to the holes. I also like what I have seen from Washington, but I can't see him starting based on his inexperience.
I think Houston is the best on our roster. I like Curtis, but he does'nt have the speed to get around the corner and he does'nt have the type of frame torun between the tackles plus last year I noticed he could'nt break away from the 1st tackler. Blaylock is strickly a back up. Washington is too small to be an every down back on this level, however I expect him to make some huge plays. He'll do real well with draws and screens. I would'nt be surprised to see Stacy Tuit get a fair amount of carries. Alot of reporters from camp are high on him. Askew won't even get a sniff.
I like Cedric he reminds me of a quicker LaMonte Jordan. Its a no brainer though if they bring in Thomas Jones or Chris Brown.Curtis not practicing is definitely a serious issue.I hope he does end his fabulous career this way on the sidelines.
RBBC baby! I think Houston will get the short yardage and goal line carries, Blaylock will probably get the "normal" carries and Washington will get the passing downs and change of pace plays.
Haven't seen enough of Blaylock or of Washington to judge. Let me see preseason (not that that's the best job, but I've only seen Washington in college).
I hear what your saying but something tells me that the last thing Mangini cares about is a "big name" back. More talented - yes. Big name - no. IMO RBBC will get the job done this season. We aren't one piece away from glory - so why change the game plan?
