Completely disagree. Houston has 3 losses, and the loser of tonights game will also have three losses. That means only two teams in the entire conference will have less losses than us at 2, and no, I'm not concerned with Cincinatti, who will fade quickly with Pittsburgh twice, the Ravens twice, and Houston remaining on their schedule. As I see it, its a five team race for the top two seeds in the AFC between the Jets, the Pats, the Ravens, the Steelers, and the Texans, and I like our chances as much as anyone.

Agreed. They gotta have the killer mentality right now because I understand the division is there for the taking now, but so in fact is the entire AFC. We have a very good shot at a first round bye if we beat the teams we should beat, which starts next Sunday at home against the Pats.

I'm not trying to think about this crap now. Just make the damn playoffs in some form or fashion.

WTF? So, you'd rather get the #6 seed and go up against the Ravens/Steelers/Texans on the road than go up against the Pats/Ravens/Steelers at home? I think the Jets' success the past two years in road playoff games has some people thinking that it's some sort of neutral field. There's a reason why the road playoff win record is 4 games. It's not easy to do.

This thread is going to look even worse, when nothing he said even happens. The season is only halfway over. Who knows what will happen? But I would NEVER choose #6 seed over an AFC East title and a home game. Who cares who the Jets play? Its the playoffs. Not supposed to be easy.

Clearly playing 3 road games to reach the super bowl is the last thing the jets want to try and do again. We need to win the division and there's no reason for us not to. It's also way too early to talk byes. I mean it's Houston we are talking about here. I don't think they win more than 10 games. They can be caught. Also the afc north is a tough division. I don't think the steelers, ravens, or bengals will be 14-2 so let's see what happens as that plays out.

As long as we're bumping a thread about playoff seeding on November 14th ...

Looking at what everyone has left, it appears the divison winners will be NE, PITT, HOU and SD (I still think they're the best of that shitty division).

I think we'll be sitting at 9-4 with three games left in the season and finish 11-5 or 10-6 at the worst.

So with that said, I'll be rooting like hell for NE and PITT the rest of the way. I have no fear whatsoever of going on the road to play Houston or SD in the first round. After that, give me those fucking Patriots again and another shot at the Ravens or Steelers!

it was a bad loss, but the sky isn't falling. Can't change what happened in the past ... you can only hope to get a shot to make them pay in the future.

Maybe playing in SD or Houston is better then playing the Ravens and NE at home. Its weird to say but atleast we know we can win in SD and Houston. If we do play NE again in the playoffs they will get a hell of a lot better effort then this though Ill tell you that.

I semi-agreed with this thread when it was made...but it was a bit early. But crap and inconsistent performance..at this point we need to worry about making the playoffs. They need to win out. and get help because of all our conference losses.

We dont need to win out ... we can lose to Philly and the Giants, and still be 10-6 and get the wildcard. Who am I supposed to be worried about? Cincy? Buffalo? Tennessee? I dont think so.
