wouldnt be shocked if the jets offered him a job on the coaching staff if there is any turnover on the offensive staff after the yr sanchez and rex both seem to like him alot and he already seems like more of a coach then a player
Hard to believe anyone could be that reckless. $50 mil and he couldn't find himself a decent financial advisor? Wtf?
People could stand to be a little more sympathetic, it's not like he blew it all on Beanie Babies and Faberge Eggs. Anyway, he'll be fine.
It's a problem that the NFL only has began to address. You give kids (22 year olds sometimes) millions of dollars and expect them to be financially savvy without instruction is a recipe for disaster. My guess is most of this mess started years or maybe even a decade before he was ever on the Jets. Brunell sounds like he actually had poor actual business decisions, not poor personal finances like he was buying 10 new cars a year. I've never had anywhere close to 50 million in my life, but my suspicion is that people (sometimes even friends or family) make offers to you that appear too good to be true, and if you are either one naive, or two, greedy you'll fall for it.
I kinda agree although I feel like this might be a little racey. Either way I'm sure his multimillion dollar home is entirely paid off and he will be doing just fine.
I was having this conversation with a friend the other day but regarding the common American. Why isn't basic personal banking/financial planning taught in high school? Or basic knowledge about taking out loans filing for a mortgage etc? I went to a very good High School on Long Island and I'm a graduate from a top 25 business University and not once was any information on this ever taught to me in school. What percentage of what I earn should go to my home/apartment? What percentage should I save? What percentage can I use to splurge on things I enjoy? I'm not saying its the gov'ts fault that millions are in debt, but would it hurt to pay for seniors in high school to learn about personal banking?
I would fully support this and am a person that is still learning the lesson... Also support manditory birth control when receiving gov't aid etc. My generation is the fat lazy american. I guess Brunell's Debt is right...
