Jamarko Simmons! Remember it, write it down, take a picture, I don't give a ...!!

The Flint Central graduate is a bonafide stud and after his performance for Western Michigan in the Texas Bowl, the NFL should be seeking his presence.

Simmons tried to lead the WMU over the country boys at Rice University but the team was highly unsuccessful. The Broncos lost 38-14 in Reliant Stadium in Houston, but Simmons caught six passes for 92 receiving yards, which is pretty much what he has been doing all season ... gettin' loose (as Lil Mama and Chris Brown like to call it).

Prior to the Texas Bowl, Simmons' sticky hands had stayed on 98 receptions for 1,184 yards with an average of 12.1 yards per catch with seven touchdowns. This is the stuff that (fellow WMU grad) Greg Jennings was made of!

When Jennings was senior at Western in 2005, he caught 98 passes for 1,259 yards with an average of 12.8 yards per catch with 14 TDs.

Jennings set the bar high for Western Michigan's wide receivers during his time at the university, but the bar had to come down yesterday. Anything you can do, I can do better.

Simmons broke Jennings' senior record with his 99th reception in the Texas Bowl. Simmons also stole the career receptions record away from Jennings, who held the mark with 238, in a 23-17 win over Illinois Nov. 8.

At 6-2, 234 pounds, Simmons is also bigger than the 5-11, 198 pound, Kalamazoo native. Despite his rather average size, Jennings has been doing damage in his first three seasons in the NFL for the Green Bay Packers. The 25-year-old had 80 receptions for 1,292 yards with nine touchdowns and will participate in the Pro Bowl as a first alternate this season.

As Simmons prepares to enter the draft, I won't say that he will be better than Jennings ... let's just say he can be just as good.

    BECAUSE

If Ducasse went down instead of Turner nobody not notice.

Ducasse is not even able fill our role as 6th lineman... THUS

Once one of our starters goes down we are forced to put a liability on our line that has failed to become part of our game plan after 1.5 years in. We drafted him high because we thought he could contribute.

It's time for Mr. Ugly to do something or get cut. DEADASS

Felt sorry for Baxter,he should never of been thrown in like he was.I though he had potential to be a solid back up and maybe even start in several years time, but now all he's got is game film in which he looks shocking.

Also sad to see Kroul go,I thought he done well at OG considering it's not his natural position.Could of been the next Brandon Moore.

Too bad, I think he was given a HUGE role to fill, very suddenly. Not to mention I don't know who they expect to replace him with so we have depth at C..

Another OL will have to be brought in... hopefully a vet since Ducasse & Schlauderaff are inexperienced.

I thought I saw that a veteran center was just released by somebody - can't remember who though - anyone see that?

I for one appreciate that he was at least able to start, and of course we saw how that was a better option than moving Slauson to C and putting VD at LG.

VD is the problem here, in other words.

So thanks Colin and good luck.

Losing Big Nick, proved (If you needed proof!) just how valuable he is and how much better he is than anyone else out there.
Baxter was always going to look like garbage, but to be fair, think he did do OK for the amount of training etc .. he had with us. I hope he does make the PS.

Well, it's not like the dude came in with high expectations, or the Jets paid him a shit load of money. I'm not going to celebrate the fact that they waived him, but hope that he gets better and eventually finds a decent job in the NFL someday.

Some of you are acting like the guy fucked your mother.

Anybody is able to start. The fact that the Jets had no better options than a rookie UDFA who proved why he had gone undrafted when he got the starts is what's perplexing here.

Yes, I know Turner got hurt and then Mangold got hurt but it didn't happen in the same game. The Jets just fell off a cliff for no good reason. It was like having Dave Fiedler, a mediocre and injury-prone QB as the backup for Chad Pennington, an injury-prone QB.

Some of the things the Jets do just defy rational analysis because they are so irrational at the roots.

Some classless posters here act like they're bladders have been bursting just waiting until the next player leaves so they can take out their dicks and piss on him.

    I don't get it.

I've been saying the same thing since Turner got hurt, so thanks for agreeing with me.

Btw it was JAY Fuckler, not Dave Fiedler.

Maybe they'll bring in Mark Levoir, recently cut from the Ravens. Only thing is, he's a Tackle - no clue if he can play C.

Could have been worse - they could have switched DuCasse to Center...

Goodbye Colin. Thanks for trying. Nice hair - but not as nice as Mangold's. Perhaps will see you back on the PS.

It's funny how when you're as mediocre as Fiedler was your first name just doesn't matter. He could have been Ray Fiedler and he'd still have been a horrible answer as Chad's backup.

On the bright side, when he went down Bradway basically lost his GM job. Unfortunately Woody wouldn't cut the ties completely so we're still drafting people like Vladimir Ducasse because our scouting department is "brilliant".

That's who I was thinking of, and you're right, he's not a center, my bad. They should sign him anyway - they need the line depth.
