For anyone who has been to a practice or heard reports on Miller, what's his deal. I havent heard anything on him, or really any of the CBs. Who are the facorites to start right now, who has been playing well, who is playing with the first team Defense. Now that Miller wont really be used on ST because of Tim Dwight, is he going to be playing more on Defense? If you have any answers or just a hunch, post it.
Theres gonna be a nice rotation at CB this year. He'll most likely play alot of NB, but also be rotated in at one of the CB spots. You can never have enough good corners really.
He better not fumble the opening kickoff of the season again. You get there early, tailgate, drink, throw the ball around, wait, get pysched, get on line, get to the front, get searched, finally get in, get out of the bathroom, get another beer, get to your seat..........and he fumbles.
Tim Dwight will more than likely be returning the punts, and both Miller & Dwight will probably be back on Kick Offs
That is my guess at this point as well. Miller is probably the fastest player on the roster.... he has BLAZING speed! On that INT he had yesterday, he just blew everyone away.... they had the angle on him.... didn't matter. He was gonzo into the end zone. If he could field punts (he can't) he would also be the P returner I think. at CB, he has looked good, I'd even say very good, but it's still a rotation between Dyson, Barrett and Miller. Strait comes in a distant 4th.
Note that I haven't seen any practices, but it seems like they are leaning towards Miller and Barrett. I remember a poll when we signed Dyson asking who the starting CBs would be and I think I was the only one (maybe one of two?) who said Miller and Barrett. Dyson is good, but he is kind of a shorty and I think it will be better to have some youth and athleticism in Miller and some veteran steadiness in Barrett (even if he is steadily average). No links, but I seem to remember reading that Miller and Barrett are on the top of the depth chart as of now.
^Barrett, Dyson, and Miller are all around 5-10 and 5-11. Also Dyson has only been in the league for 5 years. So it's not exactly like he's lost any athleticism, more like he's in the prime of his career. I'd still put Dyson #1 and Barrett #2, with Miller possibly taking over for Barrett midway through the season.
Most of the reports I've seen have Miller @ NB...i'm wondering why isn't he competing (and possibly beating) barret...
