"Tomarro" will be one hell of a day. Below is the amount of money each team is under or over the $92 million salary cap as of March 1. The current list of cap numbers does not include the salaries of restricted and exclusive-rights players. When teams find out what the value of those tenders will be, the cap number is expected to be adjusted before Thursday, adding $1 million or $2 million to the total number for each team. Please note, this list will change rapidly as teams begin cutting players over the next day to get under the salary cap by Thursday's 4 p.m. ET deadline (4 ET is the end of the NFL's business day, and no player can be cut after the close of business). Under the salary cap Team Cap status (under) Minnesota Vikings $24 million Arizona Cardinals $21.8 million Cleveland Browns $21.5 million Green Bay Packers $21 million San Francisco 49ers $17.4 million San Diego Chargers $17.1 million Jacksonville Jaguars $14.2 million Philadelphia Eagles $14.2 million Baltimore Ravens $11.9 million Detroit Lions $10.6 million St. Louis Rams $10.6 million Seattle Seahawks $9.5 million Cincinnati Bengals $9 million New Orleans Saints $8.2 million Chicago Bears $7.8 million Houston Texans $4 million New York Giants $3.3 million Buffalo Bills $2 million New England Patriots $1.5 million Over the salary cap Team Cap status (over) Oakland Raiders $26 million Miami Dolphins $21.9 million Kansas City Chiefs $20.7 million Tennessee Titans $18.7 million Washington Redskins $17 million Denver Broncos $16.4 million Carolina Panthers $12.7 million Atlanta Falcons $11.7 million New York Jets $11.1 million Indianapolis Colts $9.4 million Tampa Bay Buccaneers $8.7 million Pittsburgh Steelers $7 million Dallas Cowboys $1.2 million
I thought the Miami fans were telling us they were $30 mil under and they could get whoever they wantd and they were going to win the SB this year?
11.1 Million including Abe at 8.3mil, Mawae at 4.3, Pete Kendall at 5.2mil, Coles at 10mil, Robertson at 10mil, Ellis at 8.5mil and Chad at 12mil...not too bad. With Kendall and Mawae likely being cut and some of the others restructuring, we really should be in farely decent shape. In all reality our cap situation was never reall all that bad. We had some veterans with huge numbers that were built in to force a restructure or a cut.
It's funny that Clayton knows this since the NFL did not yet announce the official cap #.. Looks like he's projecting around 95M. He says 92, but the figures sound more like 95 to me unless he's not one of the majority counting Chad as 15M instead of 12.
A shit of a Team, Cap Hell, Yes Bradway Was Great!!!!! I hate that mf'er! The league should really investigate the Whole Bradway/Herm KC ordeal. There is no way that shit was legit! We should be compensated for tampering and Broadway was the guilty culprit cause the writing was on the wall. We can all thank him for this mess..... Now where tf is that angry smiley!?? ahhh here it goes..
I do not think that 11.1 number includes Abraham, as he has not signed his franchise offer. You can pretty much take Mawae's 4.3 off the books, and Kendall's number COULD be half that...bringing the figure down to around: 4.2Million without CHAD restructuring. I am starting to see the light! Can I get an amen???????
Unfortunately, the Jets have to get under that number with Abraham's $8.3M still counting. They'll get about $4.3M from Kendall, $1.1M from Mawae, and then they'll need to restructure Pennington and hopefully work something out within the next 48 hours with Robertson, Ellis, and/or Coles.
Once we trade him, his $8.3M is off the books. But we can't trade him until 3/3, and on that day we have to be under the cap, so we'll need to cut salary with his $8.3M still counting.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the 11.1 million includes Abe's 8.3mil because he hasn't signed the franchise tender yet. If he decides he is going to sign it, it would be like a kick in the nuts to us cap-wise.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2341755 He has Pennington at $15M, but isn't that $7.6M figure for Law a little off?
Does this include Franchised players? If so then it doesnt include the 8.3 mil Abe hit just yet. It will tomarro.
Law has been cut, and counts 2.4M on the cap this year (I know you know he was cut). His cap figure to be on the team was going to be 10M. That I didn't know, I had it lower. I had the dead $ right, but not the cap hit. Either way, it doesn't matter since he's been cut and the dead $ is right on. If he's not counting Abraham, then he must know more about the cap than I do... I have us at about 14.5M over with Abraham counting, and I knew there was about 3M I had unaccounted for. That's 17.5, or 9.2 without Abraham. MAybe there is another 1.9 I don't know about?
But isnt Abe a "restricted or exclusive-rights player" or is that just for the upcoming UFA's and RFA's?
What I'm saying is that he has us saving $7.6M with Law being cut, but I didn't think we saved that much? Maybe that's where Clayton got some of that $3M you unaccounted for.
