Unless Brady blows his knee out again then the division is already New England's. Only an unabashed homer would think otherwise
The schedule really doesn't look terrible though. The only games I see as being real challenges are Chargers and Patriots. Bills will also be tough (even when they suck they are), but I still don't know if they're the real deal yet. Also, maybe the Giants & Redskins, but we'll see how things are by that point in the year. Philly may also turn it around by then, who knows? Either way, every game is winnable if the team can get their shit together.
This season is far from over, and no one knows what will happen. There was a stretch last year where we won 9 out of 10 games. We had the 2nd hardest schedule in the league I believe coming into the year. Every time someone wants to count this team out they find a way top get it down. I am far from throwing in the towel after going 3-2 to start the season. The only game that really killed us was the Oakland game, many Jet fans signed up for 3-2 after this 3 game road trip. The way we lost is what's causing alarms. In Oakland our defense got ran into the ground. In Baltimore Sanchez/OL got ran into the ground. We'll win 9 or 10 out of the next 11. Watch
Yep. At least the Bills control their own destiny, even if it's unlikely. That Patriots schedule is a joke. Looking at the schedule, 13-3 is likely needed for the division. That means we have to run the table, which we are not going to do.
the boys are gonna turn it around, and miami is a good way to ease into the turnaround. the Bolts will be no easy game whatsoever. Shut down gates, cause a couple of fumbles or sacks and rattle Rivers, and they are 4-3 all of a sudden with some momentum.
Yup, they lucked out with the Colts sucking this year too. Pats will finish 12-4 AT THE WORST. Bills will fade into oblivion now that their offense is devoid of deep threats now...not to mention that their defense gives up 500 yards/game still.
Basically it comes down to the next 3 games. If the Jets go 3-0, they'll make the playoffs. Division is out of the question.
Come on man, the same thing your condemning our Bills for your simply just overlooking the Pats same flaws. You know we play the oppurtunistic bend but don't break D since we dont have a consistent pass rush. Who cares about how many yards we are giving up as long as we are protecting the lead.... And we have never had any deep threats unless your suggesting Parrish and Jones are? Yet Gailey still finds ways to exploit matchups. We are gonna look good going into the bye beating the Giants by 2 TD'S and watching the Pats get shutdown by Dallas.
How about we run the table and finish 13-3? OK, the chances of that happening are microscopic, but five games in, there are so many variables, surprise wins and losses, injuries, and unexpected turns that it is silly to try to predict anything. Rather than predicting the future, I'd rather look at it one game at a time. Let's win Monday night. I still have faith in this team. I am a fan.
The Patriots are going to destroy Dallas, make no mistake about that. As for the Bills, did you see how bad our offense became when Jones went down? Fitz threw 3 passes over 10 yards all game (all incomplete), and our offense became woefully predictable. We were lucky that the Eagles DC is the biggest idiot in the league, and that Philly can't defend the run. Giants CAN defend the run and get pressure with their front 4. They still have a decent receiving corps and Bradshaw is going to gut us with Kyle Williams out. It's not just him...I don't buy into this team yet. I'm happy and surprised so far, but still not buying it. If we go 3-3 over our next 6 I'll start getting excited.
Better question - does that blond chick with the receding hairline who calls herself "footballhottie" still post there? They make Rogaine for women now. Someone needs to track her down.
Tom Brady. Period. Don't give me Ryan Fitzpatrick. He's a nice little quarterback. Tom Brady is on a whole new level. Look at the Colts without Peyton Manning. That could be the Patriots without Tom Brady. But the Patriots WITH Tom Brady are a great football team. They could be like one of the worst Colts playoff teams, but they're still a playoff team, and they still have way more credibility than the Bills at the moment. And looking at their remaining schedule, it's going to be hard to catch them. forums.theganggreen.com
Oh, I dunno, Buffalo already has them one down and they appear to be for real but time will tell for sure. However the division does not necessarily belong to the Patsies just yet. Buffalo winning the division does nothing for us other than seeing the hated Patsies not winning it, which is precious little satisfaction indeed..
Buffallo winning the division pretty much guarantees we do not make the playoffs this year. As much as it sucks to say a lot of things have to go our way to get to the postseason. That said we have a few things working out for us such as 2 games vs Miami without a QB (not like they had one anyway) playing the Chargers with an unhealthy Gates/Matthews/Tolbert, Playing the Bills without Jones, and hopefully playing the Eagles when Vick is banged up at his worst. Depending on how significant those factors play out for us that can give us 7 wins pretty easily (albeit Bills without Jones isnt nearly as huge as the rest), making 8+ wins a possibility.
