The OL happened. You bitch about how we should run, not pass, because of our OL troubles, but then you admit we can't run the ball either. Honestly, not many backs would be running the ball well up the middle with this line. Even a true pounder needs a head of steam. Line him up 7 deep and he's trying to break tackles in the backfield after immediate penetration. Line him up closer and he doesn't have the momentum he needs hitting the hole. The problems in both aspects of the game stem from the OL. It has nothing to do with the r/p distribution.
The Jets couldn't run the ball vs Dallas either. They also had a very depleted secondary. You had a problem with them throwing vs Dallas?
Or maybe in your first post in this thread where you called him an injury prone fumbler. the consistent, mind numbing stupidity of your posts lead me to assume you were either a mouth breathing idiot or a troll. But then I remember this is an alt for Al Dorow and i know you're both. GFY, Al
No, THE REAL problem with the Jets being 2-2 right now, is that the approach this year was to "Bring It Home!" Get homefield and get to the Super Bowl. The Jets dropping to 2-2 makes that a difficult task now. Fans want it, the team wants it, but you can't play that way. It should be one game at a time. The Jets can't assume a playoff spot and just try to "get over the hump" for a division title. Every game is tough. But 2-2 is not horrible, without your All-Pro Center on the road, what makes it terrible is how good the Jets say they are.
Actually, I think one of the most glaring problems is that Wes Welker has almost more receiving yards so far than your top 3 receivers COMBINED! That does kinda speak volumes...just saying Receiving Player Rec Yds Yds/Rec Long TD Dustin Keller 18 261 14.5 37 2 Santonio Holmes 13 164 12.6 28 1 LaDainian Tomlinson 13 200 15.4 74 1 Receiving Player Rec Yds Yds/Rec Long TD Wes Welker 40 616 15.4 99 5
That was not the case at all in the previous 2 years. When Sanchez was pressured, which was rare he was already comfortable enough to escape and know where his receivers would be. Now he's almost always under pressure and because of lack of chemistry he doesn't know where his receivers are. Since it looks like this will be a problem all year I hope to God Schotty is practicing this during the week. Meaning have Sanchez take pressure and start to build some kind of chemistry from there. When of things I loved in the past 2 years was Mark's pocket presence, he would find a way to make a play or get rid of it. Now he has to play the whole game that way and that's a tall order for any QB.
The problem is SG isn't cutting it running the ball and LT is old.... They have no choice but to throw the ball... SG is a bust everyone and we need to either trade or draft a RB stat!!!
The real problem is after a few years of dominance, our O-line has fallen to shit. You Can't run the ball when the D-lineis in your backfield on every play. This has nothign to do with identity and everything to do with execution. The real problem with you is you would rather over look the obvious. Slason is servicable wiht Mangold and Brick around him. Slauson next to Baxter or Ducassee is a fucking nightmare. Mangold's injury just proves that he is most likely our Offiensive MVP and has been ofr a couple of years, because we look piss poor without him.
