Take everything into consideration: Age, Talent, and health.

We have never seen either of them play a full game in a Jets uniform, not enough information yet to make a true determination.....

Come on, that's a cop-out. They have plenty of experience with other teams.

he is an uprgrade now...fiedler messed up his shoulder, and ramsey can take a beating, plus has a lot more potential, and we know we aren't going anywhere with fiedler at qb

I would rather have Feidler as a backup QB than Ramsey. Feidler has proven that he can manage the game and not make many mistakes to help put his team in a position to win. Ramsey on the other hand has proven nothing. Yes he has a monster arm and he did very well in college. Ramsey may have more potential but when it comes to a backup QB you want someone who can manage the game and limit mistakes until your starter can play again.

ramsey can start and fiedler was just a guy off the bench, didnt ramsey cry when he was on the bench in washington and demand a trade?

There was NO WAY you could bring Jay Fiedler back, even if you thought he was better, because you couldn't afford to have your #1 and #2 with shoulder problems that you aren't 100% sure they will recover from.

I'd take a pre-shoulder injury Fiedler over Ramsey any day. In that respect the only thing Ramsey has over Fiedler is age. But right now I'd rather have Ramsey. After the shoulder injury Fiedler's ability is a huge question mark. With Ramsey you at least kind of know what we're getting. And like jetsin2004 said, it'd be tempting fate to have both your #1 and #2 qb's comming off huge surgeries where you're unsure about their recovery. At least we know Ramsey has the necessary arm strength and is 100%.

Ramsey was absolutely a great team player in Washington - no matter how bad it got for him he never complained and always supported his teammates

As a number 2 on the bench carrying a clip board Feidler is the guy, if you actually needed the Number 2 to play in a game Ramsey is the guy.

After watching Chad at camp, no arm strength, Ramsey will most likely start...Chad's passes look even slower, because Ramsey throws so hard...

Definately some upside to ramsey that fiedler just doesn't possess. Now that he's not playing in the fun n gun he might just settle down and live up to his first round pick.

I voted no, although to be honest it is a toss up. Pre-injury comparison I would easily give Jay the nod. He's had more success at the starting role than Ramsey and more experience. After the injury it is hard to say whether he will be better or not. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Ramsey's only endearing quality to me is his ability to take a pounding and keep getting back up.

My thoughts too. In pre-season last year I thought how good Jay was and for the injury he could have had a stella season.

    I'd much rather Ramsey.

With Feidler, you know what your getting. An ok player that won't lose you games, but isn't going to win them either. If you have a great running back and defense, you can win with him.

With Ramsey, you have potential to get something better than that. He's got a lot of talent, and with a change of scenery, maybe he can put it together. Maybe he won't, but since the QB job is up for grabs, I'd rather someone with a lot of upside.

My vote was yes even though I'm not keen on either.
