Its not a bad thread though its coming at a time when we are bombarded by so much of "the sky is falling", so it easy to dismiss as a typical paranoid jets rant. The points brought up definitely have validity. The Dallas game was concerning as far as the passing defense but Dallas was held to 64 yards on the ground. MJD didn't get those yards til later in the game. The Oakland game however was pretty glaring. All we had to do was stop Mcfadden but we couldn't do that, though it didnt help that every time they put the ball in the air Cromartie committed a penalty. Im feeling like the defense wont continue to be an issue really, but the O-line could be something to worry about. You could argue either way but the fact is we've only played 3 games. Lets see.
I think Oakland was a wake up call. I feel we might have got a little bit of what the Eagles got on Sunday. Perhaps we came in with the "all we need to do is show up" attitude. Under the last three coaches we've had total shit games out there. Its all the way across the country...tough environment...and lets be honest...McFadden is a fucking beast, he's going to run over a shit load of teams this year. Last week reminded me of the Jags game from 2009. Jones Drew came in and gashed the shit out of us. That entire game the D looked lifeless...we ended up in the AFCCG. CHILL OUT. If we win this week the "Best in the AFC?" "Superbowl Tickets" threads will start...then if we go to NE and lose we'll be right back to the horseshit weve seen this week. And lets face the facts here...our schedule is turning out to be a bitch!! We have to play Buffalo twice which prior to a month ago looked like two easy W's. We have the Redskins who are playing well, we have to go to Denver, the Chargers are coming to town, the Pats twice, The Eagles....the only comfortable game at this point is the Chiefs. The last two seasons we had "breaks" in our schedule...not this year. Every single win this season will be tough to come by. So buckle up...shut the fuck up...and wait and see.
