As much as he irks me, whether he is playing well or not, can we actually afford for him to miss time, if that's the case? He has a rib injury, not sure of the extent yet.
Depends how good Kyle Wilson is. If Wilson is as good as people thought he'd be when we drafted him, then yes, we can miss him against Baltimore, I'm not worried about that. Against New England, we need as many guys who can cover people as possible.
Wilson has definitely stepped it up since last season. Unless I'm having a brain fart here, has Wilson been on (m)any 1-on-1 coverage plays this season so far? And I agree about needing Cro' for the Pats game.

Against the Ravens and Patriots yeah... The Ravens don't really have much at WR if you put Revis on Boldin (+ Torrey Smith injured himself). The Patriots have small quick WRs, exactly the kind of WRs Cro can't cover. Hope he comes back for the Dolphins...
Kyle will get the job done, because he plays with fucking technique and doesn't grab at his receivers like a fucking retard. Its no the 70s anymore. what cro does goes against how this game is played today, with all of the holding and PI rules put in place. If this fuck would learn from anyone, instead of relying on his speed and athleticism, he'd be a top 5 corner.
I despise Cromartie's play. He thinks he can play his own style at a key position in Rex's defense and he is a major liability every team will continue to exploit his poor technique and he will continue to get flagged or beat when guarding good receiver Qb. combos. Give me Wilson!
I think we would be fine without him. Kyle Wilson has looked very good in the first three games this year and Donald Strickland can be a very good nickel back. One other note on cro and the penalties. Is it me or are the refs way too hard on him? Am I wearing my jet goggles on this one? I only thought one maybe two of the calls was legit. There were two others that were just outright bad calls.
Strickland's coverage after Cromartie went out was textbook. They wont bench Cro, but an injury would be a blessing bin disguise
I just feel if Wilson were good enough to be a #2 corner, Cromartie wouldn't have been resigned. He had a shitty game today (exacerbated by the fact he must have knocked up a ref's daughter or something; some of those calls were pretty cheap) but he's a good corner.
Cromartie is just a dumb football player, plain and simple. Tremendous athletic ability but hes dumb as can be, as are many athletes. I mean, the guy has like 9 kids, enough said.
