Does anyone who has been at training camp or has heard news from it know how Brad Smith is adjusting to the role of WR. I remember around draft day he was saying that he wanted to stay a QB and was really opposing the move. However, since I haven't heard anything about it since then I'm assuming he accepted his role as a WR and gave up on being a QB. How is this adjustment going. I really think this guy could turn out to be a really explosive WR if he learns to catch the ball.
I talked to him after the morning practice on the 29th. I asked him how WR was going and he said "its getting there". Hes a great athlete and once he learns how to run nice routes I think he can be a real assest for us.
Brad Smith will hopefully be the next Hines Ward, but I can live with an Ronald Curry impersonation. As long as he produces somewhere down the line...
