Romo did play better all game EXCEPT when it mattered most. Sanchez didn't play that great all game except when it mattered most, and thats what matters most.
That 1978 game was great, Matt Robinson hit Wesley Walker with a TD bomb on the first play of the 4th quarter. Denver was the defending AFC champions that year.
That's not really accurate though, is it. Sanchez had a fumble and two poor drives after the Burress TD. He didn't finish strong, but he will another time.
Not true at all, they both were awful for the last 10 minutes or so. Romo cost his team the game, but If he hadn't thrown the pick and they made a FG this board would be littered with posts about Sanchez not getting it done late.
Here is an incredibly interesting stat: http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/je...ng-jet-mike-mix-in-27-24-win-over-the-cowboys
The most impressive thing to me is no penalties during the season opener, after a really short football preparation off season due to the hold out.
