I'm moving out of our beloved tri-state area and down to Noth Care'linny and I need your help, Gang Green Nation, in understanding live streams. I've caught a few streams due to the kindness of posters here, but it's always last minute and a little too fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pantish for me. I don't mind paying, I just want to watch my Jets live. On something other than Dish Network (can't use it). So here are my three questions: is there a central place to find live streams, subscription or free? Do I have to hunt frantically at gametime every single week? Is there another option for watching Jets live?
Living in Ohio, I would only get get maybe 4 Jet games a year until 2009. Since Rex has been coach and the Jets have been relevant, I usually get 8-10 games on TV (Espn, CBS, Fox & NFLN). The other games I watch on-line. I dropped Sunday Ticket 2 years ago, too expensive.
PS3 only does everything I think you can now get Sunday Ticket on the PS3. http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/08/17/directv-and-playstation-bring-nfl-sunday-ticket-to-ps3/ I just moved to Miami, so I'm kind of in the same boat. Except at least in NC people still speak English and aren't bat-shit insane.
You can't get Dish Network, but they don't have NFL Sunday Ticket, so they wouldn't help you anyway. Get DirecTV if possible. They will give you ALL NFL games for free for new subscribers. All the streams suck. The picture quality is SHIT. Sunday Ticket has every game in HD + the red zone channel.
Or you can get a slingbox and have one of your friends hook it up at their house if you can't get a satellite dish. You will be able to get all NY tv all the time.
There is also an another option............. Look for a Jets fan club in the city you live in. I go to the games with the South Florida Jets Fan Club. We have our own bar sort of speak and have no problems watching games especially when they are not shown national that particular day. You will get to see the game with a bunch of other Jets fans. The unfortunate part is that a lot of Jets fans look like they just got out of cell block D...............but I digress. I got Ollie to go to games as he just moved and it is a great time. We usually have 100+ people there.
I'm moving to Columbus in 3 days. Any sports bar recommendations? I'm not big on streaming because my computer sucks, and I can't miss Jets games, so sportsbars are it.
New customers are getting NFL Sunday ticket for free this year just for signing up. (saw the commercial) or try Firstrowsports, justin.tv or go to any sports bar should have all games playing on a Sunday
Yeah ive been going there since 2007... it's a great place to watch the game with fellow Jets fans! Especially during playoff time... that place gets off the wall packed! :jets:
I pay $240 for roughly 200 games (subtracting out national broadcasts and local games). I don't find that to be too expensive at all. Even the weeks when I just watch the Jets, and that's rare, I'm essentially paying $15. The weeks when the Jets ARE one of those national games? I use the big TV for the RZ Channel or the Game Mix Channel, and I still have 2 TVs and the computer surrounding it with the games I'm most interested in. And the feed is about 8 million times better than any online stream I've ever used.
Davie, Florida on University Drive between Stirling and Griffin Rds. The bar is actually connected to a bowling alley. This is the best Jets bar in South Florida by far....Miamipuck knows what he's talking about. I used to go here when I lived down there.......almost like being at the game..
I've been lobbying DirecTV to have their Sunday Ticket To-Go offered for Non-Subscribers like they did last year. That's your best bet. It's $300+ but the clarity is unparalleled...waaayyyy better than anything else you'll find on the internet, including Justin.tv etc... That is, of course, if they offer it. I go onto D.TV's facebook page every single day and put up a post to try and force their hand...but we shall see. It would be great if all the Jets fans went to their page to say the same thing!
