This is old news to Jets fans as he no longer coaches here but I found this to be an interesting read. Mods move this if you want but wanted this to get high visibility. All I can say is Mangini REALLY must have been a huge prick. I'm glad he no longer is here. Get a load of this: and If I'm a Browns fan I'm glad he's gone...and I am sure GLAD he no longer is with the Jets!
Good Lord what an ass. Good thing Colt didn't take any bottles of water that weren't his. Eric might've murdered him.
Mangini is a joke. We'd have a 6 point leading halfway through the 4th and he's already in prevent defense. Just a total jack-ass on both sides of the ball. At least Holmgren saw through his crap quicker before it took Woody & Tanny to.
if they can protect McCoy and they can actually find a WR McCoy will be a worthy starter. Always been a fan of his since his freshman year at UT Lacks that elite zip and spin you like to see on release but the kid is a gamer, accurate, and can buy time in the pocket.
Well the guy got us to 10-6 with a roster nobody expected to go better than 5-11 with so that's why he got a chance at the third year.
As I recall, the situation was similar when Clemens got the start against Baltimore in 2007. It was reported that Clemens didn't know he was starting until the offense took the field and the coaches sent him out there.
This is so disappointing, I expected to see Sanchez banged another hot 15 year old, when I opened this.
How can Mangini be an ESPN NFL analyst when he can't even speak properly is my question. It would be like hiring The Waterboy.
yea i've seen a segment with him and he sucks as an analyst too. I actually feel bad for the guy. It must be terrible sucking at everything you do.
He was on ESPN the other day and they literally had to say "uhh Eric, you wanna chime in on this." His "expertise" is like his coaching. He plays it safe and tries not too look stupid.
Okay guys here is where I wanna be: But here is where I am: Actually here is where I wanna be: -Eric Mangini
