I agree with most, this post is a jinx and stupid till we get there. With that being said. How many JETS coach/QB combos have been to two straight AFC Championships and have a 4-2 playoff record in there first 2 seasons with the JETS?? None?? Ok, I already worship Rex, and Sanchez is sure growing on me.
Which current head coach has lost 3 consecutive AFC Championship games as a head coach / defensive coordinator?
Hey the Jets are my team. Since Ive been a fan (birth 1981) Ive seen 4 AFC championships with my Jets. but 2 have been in the past 2 years. I lived through the Rich Kotite Jets. The Rex years have been heaven for me, and I will take 10 consecutive AFC championship losses over a 3-13 and 1-15 season any day. Thank god Im a Yankee fan and have seen 5 WORLD Championships so I do know what glory feels like. If I was a Mets fan Id kill myself.
Puck, I dont understand, I thought he was saying the JETS will lose a THIRD year. I didnt realize he was counting other teams. I speak JETS history. Who cares what he did with the RAVENS. I responded with how it wouldnt bother me cuz of years past. Losing Championships is better than a losing season in my opinion.
He is a wise ass, 50% of what he says is bullshit and the other 50% is too. You didn't hear this from me though, he is one of the cool Pats fans. He was just trying to get you to answer his Rex Ryan trivia question. Yeah Rex is 100 times better than Herm or Mangini.
Oh ok, I love wise asses. Im one, I think most of us are, it sometimes doesnt come across in message form.
This is an impossible question to answer without knowing the actual results from any such SB. If the Jets were to win largely on the strength of our Defense and/or running game while Sanchez was merely an effective game manager, or worse, was bailed out by the defense and /or running game, then Rex would naturally get more of the praise. If the defense stunk up the joint but was bailed out by a huge performance by Sanchez, then Sanchez would obviously be the bigger star. If all facets of the team contributed to the win more or less equally, everyone would share the glory pretty much equally. Not a very well considered question.
One thing I don't like doing is talking SB, haven't we had SB expectations in that past? Bad karma. That said, it's Rex, Rex Ryan is the best thing to happen to the Jets since Namath ran into the tunnel with a #1 in the air.
first off, how about we get through the preseason with a healthy roster before we discuss anything postseason. figuratively or literally Sanchez will never be bigger than Ryan. not unless Sanchez is a super bowl mvp or turns into a no question top 5 qb (dont really see that happening)
What? Really? What makes you think that is a good question? The Jets could make it. Could. The Giants won't make it. Won't. So the easy answer is no. If Im wrong, it will be the greatest mistake I ever made, cuz that would be incredible and I would LOVE IT!!
