Absolutely necessary signing and I am OK with 8/yr. If we can just get some help at safety (keeping Pool is my preference) I would be thrilled with this offseason.

    32m/4 years

I like cro and the deal sits ok knowing how we'd be up shit creek w/o a paddle in the slim chance we didn't get him

I'm fine with 8 mill. He's getting less than JoJoseph per year so it's all good.

So we got Cromartie, Burress and $1M left over to try and get a safety = A$$hole's $12M a year contract

I'll take back what I said about Tanny & even change my avatar for now

Now lets get Pool. I would still like another receiver incase Plax doesn't pan out...

I had a bad feeling about this contract. Somehow, Tanny continues to impress me. $8M for Cro, considering all that's gone on and the current state of the market, is fine.

Ihedigbo was offered a contract. I disagree that this was "absolutely necessary", and I still have concerns, but I'll wait until I see the breakdown of the contract before deciding how I really feel about this. The initial length and amount are a relief.

Fine is a good word for it. There wasn't much to spend on at more dire positions of need, but I want to see whether we forced premature restructures of our 2012 safety net contracts. Indications were that we were clearing space. I hope that's limited.

Even assuming Ihedigbo returns, Pool or another safety must be brought in to start across from Leonhard. Especially in light of the risk that Leonhard hasn't returned to form or at least starts the season slowly and we need to shuffle bodies on the back end.

Sure, Revis, Wilson, Strickland, Buchanan could have worked out nicely, but I am much more comfortable heading into this shortened offseason without the unknown of Kyle Wilson at #2.

I think the return of Cro gives us a stacked secondary at the CB position.

Assuming the deal is structured fairly, Cromartie is absolutely worth the 8/yr IMO.

He was wrong about the deal not getting done tonight and he was wrong about who got the scoop first. Please, just go away.

CB play should be at least as good as it was last season. Possibly better if Strickland can stay healthy.
