I know there are a million threads about free agency and Nnamdi in particular but I have a question that revolves around his new contract. If he is signed by another team and gets a monster deal (13-14-15mil a year), do you think that raises the chances of a Revis hold-out next year? and if so does that put even more pressure on the front office to get him here with a contract closer to that of Revis to keep then both happy for a long time to come?
Exactly. I understand his point of view in asking the question in relations to Revis, but it's a guarantee that Aso's getting a big time contract.
Nnamdi will be signed before i get back from vacation....something BIG always happens when i'm on vacation.
According to what I heard yesterday on NFL radio, in the new CBA, holding out costs $30,000 per day (but of course that can be dealt with in a revised contract if the holdout works). Also, if the player does not report 30 days before the first game, the year doesn't count for purposes of accrual of years towards free agency (not relevant for a future Revis situation, I think).
Revis holding out depends on how much his agent, uncle, and geigergeiger are barking in his ear. I don't think Revis puts much thought into it himself really.
