    2011 Stater:

If you can kick, please send resume to Mike Tannenbaum.

Nick Folk – 5th Year: For the first half of the 2010 season it looked like we found a long term answer to our franchise kicker, unfortunately there was another half of a season to play, and it got ugly at times. Folk has a strong leg and at the beginning of the season was regularly putting his kick-offs into the end zone, the second half of the season the majority of his kick-offs fell short of the end zone. His kicking in the second half of the season could be described as erratic, I think very few fans has any confidence in his ability to make a FG The Jets must have some faith to bring him back as he was resigned. He has the talent to be a great kicker, he just may not have the ice in his veins that he needs for this position.

    2011 Training Camp Backup:

Nick Novak – 3rd year: Strengths, Solid as a kickoff specialist and consistent with his kicking motion. Can hit field goals reliably from shorter distances. Weaknesses, Does not have much size or power and struggles to make good on field goal attempts over 35 yards. Also has a tough time getting the ball deep on kickoffs. I Doubt that he will be on the opening day roster!

    2011 Punter:

    2011 Starter: No clear favorite

T.J. Conley – 1st Year: Comes back for another shot at the roster. He has a strong leg but is inconsistent with his accuracy and hang time.

Chris Bryan - 1st Year: Places the ball well. Has a huge frame and great leverage for a punter. Comes from the Australian rules game and has well-rounded athleticism. Can adjust well to off-line snaps and get punts off quickly. Doesn't get very good regular distance on his punts yet. Somewhat raw for an NFL punter and needs to keep working on his technique to reach his potential. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/107901/chris-bryan

    2011 Unrestricted Free Agent:

Steve Weatherford – 6th Year: Had a great regular season last year, really was able to get a lot of hang time setting up the special teams to get down the field to cover. Unfortunately his regular season success did not translate into the post season where he struggled. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him resigned for the 2011 season. Signed with the Giants.

    2011 Long Snapper:

    2011 Starter:

Tanner Purdum – 2nd Year: had a good season of long snapping, that is his only job and does it well, he is not in danger of losing his roster spot.

    Backup:

    Wilson Raynor - Rookie:

Folk has been resigned and corrected on the depth chart above.

I wanna see Joe McKnight as our kick returner. Hopefully he's in shape right now, because when in shape? McKnight can be a special talent out of USC.

Jets signed Aussie punter Chris Bryan, he will compete with Conley for the starting Punter, I hope that we add someone else, I don't have a lot of confidence in either of these choices.

Our special teams is a disgrace. The Jets would be better off just fair catching it at the rate they're going.

No we would be better running away from the ball and taking it from the 1
