While its true we beat them in the playoffs (Fuck yeah!) I still can't shake the horror of that 45-3 loss in regular season. Until we stop doing shit like that, I wouldn't crown ourselves yet.
There is no way in hell we are contending for the AFC East with Henne/Garbage at QB + a retard of a coach... I'm willing to go 1-15 for Luck.
I understand, but I dont care if they beat us 100-0, 2 out of 3 is 2 out of 3, and rex is over .500 vs the patriots. it's time, it's year three for rex and sanchez, and the history of the league tells you year three is the year, ala, m.ryan, aikman, brees, e.c.t.
you definatly need a qb. but wasn't sparono suppose to be the soprano of the nfl? I remember those signs.
Jets, Patriots in search of missing piece to championship run "New York Jets Re-sign Holmes, add another receiver: Mark Sanchez has been developed masterfully since arriving in New York in 2009 and he really can't afford to lose his receiving targets. Santonio Holmes is a major threat and Sanchez knows where he is at all times. To start over with another guy and no time to develop a rapport would be a mistake. After Holmes is secure, the team has options with re-signing Braylon Edwards or going after a guy like Plaxico Burress. It's all about making the Super Bowl and this is no time to go in the wrong direction by letting weapons go. Have a top corner opposite Revis: Teams throw away from Darrelle Revis, which puts a strain on the opposite corner. Rex Ryan likes to blitz and play man-to-man coverage, another factor that adds to the stress on the corner partnered with Revis. Antonio Cromartie wants to return and the Jets need to make sure they replace talent with talent if the veteran goes elsewhere. Cincinnati Bengals corner Johnathan Joseph must be on a short list if Cromartie bolts. To this point, 2010 first-round pick Kyle Wilson doesn't look like the answer and might be better suited in a sub role. Upgrade front seven: Ryan knows how to create pressure from just about anywhere. The outside linebackers are adequate and the failure of Vernon Gholston to develop leaves the team short of quality pass rushers. They can continue to blitz safety Jim Leonhard but sooner or later it will lead to big plays for the opponent. Re-signing Shaun Ellis is important for the short term and the Jets might have to consider bringing back Jason Taylor for one more season. If Taylor could replicate his 2010 production, when he had five sacks and two forced fumbles, it would be worth it." I agree with everything and the reasoning behind it. Yes is was just Bleacher report about the same as having the guy who runs the local sports bar do analysis during the game. You don't get much for real in site but they can make the lamest things seem exciting. Fact, yes the Jets took 2 of 3 last season but much of New England's D was a bunch of rookies and backups. At CB they had McCourty a true rookie and Arrington an undrafted FA in only his 2nd season. At LB they had the rookies Spikes and Cunningham. A FA cast off Ninkovich who was playing in his first full season at LB. He was a back up DE and ST player before. They had lost Leigh Bodden and Ty Warren to injuries before the season started. They lost Mike Wright one of their better pass rushing DEs early in the season. The all pro Guard Logan Mankins held out for most of the season and Kaczur who would have replaced him is lost to injury before the season gets started. Yet that O ranked #1 in points, #8 over all in yards per game, 11th in passing yards per game, and 9th in rushing yards per game. Put up 34 passing TDs and only 4 ints with no real deep threat most of the season. They had another 19 TD rushing. They had an undrafted FA RB by the name of Benjarvus Green-Ellis go for over 1000 yards and this guy named Woodhead, Remember him? put up another 547 yards and 5 TDs not to mention his 379 yards receiving. They had a very old Alge Crumpler at TE along with two rookies who looked like all pros. The have added to that team at many positions in ways that will make them that much harder to get past. Don't for a moment think the Patriots have not taken steps to make it still their division.
That may have been a pathetic Bleacher Report blog, but your post makes it look like Pulitzer material.
Hey I was not claiming to be a sports reporter. All I did was say the things that I saw happen that did and will contribute to the way the Jets and New England play each other. Yes the Jets should be a better team over all this season. But so will New England. Not saying that New England will dominate only that they will continue to be difficult to get around.
