the prob is he CANT carry the load. This kid is as banged up as they come. Hes talented, but usually only plays 2 quarters because he almost always gets banged up by the second half.

This is the NFL. Trades rarely happen except during the draft. We do not need to go after every player who is cut or requests a deal. Curtis Martin is better than Chris Brown and that says a lot.

Did you watch this guy play? He's good but he gets as injured as they come.

I guess someone was going to post about getting him, since we seem to do the same thing for every single player with at least a little name recognition.....

No we should not give up draft picks to get this guy. I doubt he's going anywhere in any case....

Houston and Washington can easily carry the load for this team 5+ years after Martin retire. RB is the least of our worries, and Brown will never be a feature back.

His upright running style leaves him open to take huge hits.
He is also on the skinny side which doesnt help.

I would pass on this guy. He is too injury prone.

I hope youre right but to just come out and say that houston and washington can carry the load for 5 years after martin, is a baseless statement

That may be the story in '06 as the coaching staff wants to see exactly what we have in Houston and Washington. Anything after this year is up in the air right now as RB may be the most unsettled position on the team. At least at the QB position they have Clemens who they think is the future QB on the roster. Martin's successor may not even be on the roster yet. But I hope you're right.......

Houston and Washington will be feature backs but Brown won't?

I don't want Brown, but I'm not telling fairy tales claiming we have the answer at RB.

Every time I hear that a player is DEMANDING to be traded, I immediately imagine Homer Simpson saying 'I demand satisfaction!' and smacking somebody with a glove.

Doesn't he also fumble quite alot? And what's his story to be asking for a trade? Is Travis Henry too much competition for him?

I don't want anything to do with this guy. Let's find a feature back on our roster and if not - then next year's draft should do the trick.

Chris Brown demanding a trade is about as comical as Ashlie Lelie demanding a new contract..

I think JF119 was simply pointing out this guy may be available and was asking if he is worth going after. He's just starting Jet's conversation in an otherwise very slow time. Some of you guys who trash simple things like this are "stupid idiots" to quote IRL.
