wooo who signed the one guy from our draft with the least chance of making the team Yeah!!! now get the big guys in camp.... the purpose of drafting ferguson and mangold was to create a great OL by the end of the season, and we can't do that if they aren't in camp on time!!

He was probably the easiest to sign.

Well, that's one down, hopefullly Tangini will keep up Bradway's old ways of doing a good job of getting picks signed and in camp early.

I actually think Adams has a good shot to make the team, we're not to deep at DT and he can play the nose. He had more potential than most 7th round picks, he was projected as a mid-rounder before the draft.

well that maybe but stastically 7th rounders are less likely to pan out into starters than every other round ( so i believe, definately less likely than the first 4) so i will feel more assured and at ease when both mangold and D'brick are signed and in camp.... to be honest as strange as it seems the one player from our draft class that i almost hope to see unsigned through the first 3 days of camp is Kellen Clemens... yes i understand people think i'm crazy and i probably am, but i would prefer clemens to get 4 days behind and in turn not be the opening day starter, and have him screwed by an OL that has only two people in a spot they have STARTED AND PLAYED several games at in position over the course of their careers, Kendall and Brandon Moore ( yes Adrian Jones has played RT in an NFL game before, but he played the majority of his games last season at the LT spot. D'brick and Mangold have never played on an NFL OL so it will take at LEAST a few weeks to get the entire line in tune with each other enough to trust the person/s next to them. and then on top of that Clemens has worked with 0 recievers thus far, therefore he won't have too much chemistry on opening day with anyone and then he would have to deal with the immediate expectations of the NY media... not the best start for our future at the QB slot.. I believe clemens will be special, but not if he is thrown into the fire early, he needs the carson Palmer treatment.

    Start Penny or Ramsey!!

    Titus Adams Grade: 3.39
    Position: DT
    Class: Sr
    School: Nebraska
    Conference: Big Twelve
    Ht., Wt.: 6-3.5, 306
    40 Time: 5.15
    Selected by: New York Jets
Round 7, pick 12 (220 overall) Grading System

BIO: Three-year starter who posted 50/5/1.5 as a senior, after junior numbers of 37/8. All-Academic recipient in the past.

POSITIVES: Well-built tackle best stuffing the run. Plays with terrific pad level, keeps his feet driving up the field and has a short burst of speed. Cognizant and quickly locates the ball. Effectively works his hands and redirects to ball carriers.

NEGATIVES: Easily blocked by lesser opponents. Wears down over the course of a game. Marginal pass-rushing skills.

ANALYSIS: Chasing hard to get involved in the action, Adams has flashed skill the past two years. Needs to improve his playing strength, stamina and the details of his position yet has the skills to find a place in the NFL.

    PROJECTION: Mid Fifth Round

Could the plan possibly be to get the rookies signed in reverse order? Rather than have them work from the top down the expectations would be greater...salaries higher, bring them all together before camp and negotiate face to face with them and their agent away from the outside influence of friends and family? The agents can't be everywhere at once.

    Just a thought...

If he does make the team then we will just need him to be a load and take on as many blockers as possible. He doesnt have to be a good pass rusher. Leave that to Ellis and the LB's.
