brad smith? to tell you the truth.I thought that the jets picked brad smith.for his q.b. skills.I am glad that it turned out the way it did.he is a great athlete.lets give credit to the jets draft team.
He is a third stringer this year. Brunell is the back up again this year. You want your third string QB to have a low cap number and with a 7th round rookie you'll get a bargain basement price locked in for 4-5 years. I do not look to him to do anymore then hang around until his minimum salary gets too high and the cycle starts over again with another 7th rounder. Not trying to be pessimistic, but there is a reason that he was not selected until the 7th round and plenty of teams needing a QB passed. Every once in awhile teams luck out with a late round pick in any position, but QB in particular is by far the hardest position to break into.
Are people seriously trying to say that Brett Ratliff should be the starting quarterback on the New York Jets? Also, the OP sucks.
I am in Alabama, and a Crimson Tide fan to boot. He is an excellent QB, and I tink the Jets will benefit in getting picks from another team to acquire him.
I have a gut feeling, headed to the crapper. EDIT: I feel better now. Just dropped a Clemens off at the pool.
I thought this thread was decent off-season topic to discuss. Unfortunately, trolling in this thread hasn't been monitored yet. I don't feel that the poster who started this thread feels welcome to discuss his opinion on this site after the responses following his opening post. it's too bad, I know we are all bored, but we shouldn't go flaming threads based on improper use of grammar or punctuation.
