Revis on new labor agreement: “It’ll get done”
Posted by Evan Silva on May 21, 2011, 4:47 PM EDT

At a time when the state of the NFL has forced at least one player to obtain a $500,000 loan at a whopping 23-percent interest rate, Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis feels just fine about his monetary situation.

“I’m financially stable,” said Revis, who scored a four-year, $46 million contract after a lengthy holdout last September. “I’m good. When the lockout is over, it’s over.”

Promisingly at first glance, Revis believes “guys feel this lockout is going to be done soon.”

Unfortunately, Revis admitted to ESPNNewYork.com that he has no insider knowledge.

    He’s speculating.

“I think it’s going to get done,” Revis said of a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. “All deals get done. Both sides have to find out what’s best for each other.

    “It’ll get done.”

So by Darrelle's calculations, this thing won't get done until a week before the season is slated to begin.

I love the way you guys automatically act as if this guy has the IQ of a worm or his word is just disposable.

Ever take into account the quotes in the article are just edited is a certain way, or that he didn't want to say anything?

I can't believe you guys a still ass hurt because he wanted the best deal possible.
    Get over it

It's fun to be bitter about last summer still but lets at least bash the right person.

Who the fuck thought that quote warranted an article?

What? Did you read the article? It basically says absolutely nothing, but in more words. I think that's why people are reacting the way they are. Is anyone really hating on Revis in this thread?

    fuck the lockout.

Well if you look around the site you see posters bashing Revis anytime they can...that's why I say that...
I do agree that "Article" is a joke...

But, if we wanna chalk this up to FLS (Football Lockout Syndrome), I'm onboard...

Of course people are gonna bash Revis (outside of this thread which the article was just pointless)

Look how Revis acted, vs look how Harris/Mangold/Dabrick/Edwards/Cromartie did.

All of those guys were elite players who put playing here FIRST.

Harris is a top MLB, Mangold the best center in the nfl, and Dabrick is likely also top 3. Yet these guys handled their contract situations with class

    Revis put getting paid first.

That is why people will never respect him as much as they did pre his ego taking over.

Yeah the guy is the best corner in the nfl we get that, but it doesnt excuse the way he acted either.

This labor nonsense reminds me a lot of the Revis holdout.
