During the 2010 NFL season, Andrew "McLovin" Perloff began hosting a weekly segment called "Against the Grain," in which he offers a series of short observations about the league that may not reflect popular opinion. What does "the NFL doesn't seem to value linebackers in the draft" mean? There are usually 2-3 linebackers drafted in the first round each year. Yeah, they don't normally go as high as Von Miller, but why the hell would you give a top 5-10 contract to a rookie linebacker? I think the concept of positional value is lost on this guy.
