I like this pick. He's got alot of tools, size, speed, smarts, vision.
Hope he does well in TC and makes the team.

How about Jason Pociask, as a FB. I think he could beat out Askew.

not to jump on this little prediction bandwagon here, but i completely agree with nick hartigan as a potential standout. as a fan who watched him at brown, the dude could be very successful

Oregon switched to a run and shoot offense last year, a great offense to make a QB pile up stats.... In previous years he didn't rank in the top ten in any passing stat... come to think of it, he didn't rank in the top ten in his 'upwards' year.

Kelly Clemons will be as great a Pro as the previous run and shoot college QB's who played in the NFL, including two Heisman trophy winners (Andre Ware and Danny Weurful) as well as Timmy Chang who set all kinds of NCAA records for Hawaii in a run and shoot offense.

And naysayers say Matt Leinart was a product of a 'system'.

i cant look at a qb's college stats as a major judge of how good he is. College is so different. College tends to have a more run and gun offense. So a qb can pile up huge stats. I am fairly impressed however, about the lack of sacks and Ints.

You do realize that of those lists, there are QBs in the top 10 who either ended up sucking, or aren't even in the league now, right? Where's Jason White right now? Did Drew Olson even get drafted? Omar Jacbos finished top 10 in 2004, do you want him? Cutler finished 62nd on that list in 2005, and he was considered by a few to be better than Leinart or Young. Or is this strictly a Leinart love-fest? Oh I get it, Herm broke your heart and you were looking at Matt as the rebound guy. Tough break, man.

Listen, you can bash Clemens from any angle you want, but throwing out a bunch of stats proves nothing.

Yeah he is really on the border. I mean it might come down to the wire if he makes the team. He was only the 4th overall pick.
