In checking out what the (cough, cough) "experts" think about the upcoming draft, I see they have the Jets slotted for either DL (Phil Taylor) or LB (Akeem Ayers, Justin Houston). Personally, if I were a Jets fan, I'd like the idea of Taylor. You guys have a great D in large part to Jenkins, and Taylor seems he might be a nice fit in Ryan's D.

Well in 2008, Jenkins was being considered for DPOY. Two seasons on the IR isn't where you want your NT to be.

I'm not against Phil Taylor. The guys moves real well for 340 pounds, and there's big upside there. I could see him playing a DE/NT role like Ngata plays.

I would cry if we acquired, Phil Taylor. Then I would have to look more into him, and trust our FO knows what they are doing. I don't see them going after Phil Taylor though, not even remotely.

I worry about his motor and playing strength, but if Rex Ryan, Mike Pettine, and Mike Tannenbaum gave the thumbs up on a 6'4 340 pound DT I'm not sure I'd be able to get mad.

Out of those three, it's Ayers by far.

I wouldn't touch Taylor with a 1st Rd pick either...
