Years ago Raiderjoe wrote as if he had the mental capacity of a typical 7-year old and he typed as if he was wearing mittens. He's not bad like that anymore. He's not good, either. It's just that his posts are no longer horrorshows. I am led to believe that he was in rehab for a while in 2010.

Somethings never change. The topic is Asomugha and Routt versus Revis and Cromartie.

Yet because you have no facts to support your claim, let change the topic of the thread to Raiderjoe or some other Bs.

Btw anyone that knows me, will tell you I don't do illegal drugs or

He used to be a mildly amusing with the fake retard shit.

Now he is just a useless asshole that all of a sudden came back. He should just stay away. His team sucks, his schtick sucks and if he was real he would have never have left after the Jets walloped that shit organization 38-0. All he is going to do is troll constantly with his nonsense.

He is fake, most of the regulars know he is fake. Yet, he is still going to come on here, say how Al Davis, a rotted brain old douche, that finger paints with his own feces, is god.

Some new posters are going to think it is serious and a decent thread like this, is going to go into the proverbial crapper. Not that a Raider fan would know what a crapper is, since their owner hasn't used one in years...... unless you consider depends or his own pants, a crapper.

This board was great without him, I am willing to bet if he goes away the board will be better off.

I also felt Cro was much better w/ Revis out. Don't have a good explanation for why & perhaps my opinion is just off. I've got some theories though...

    w/ Revis coming back:
    1) Every CB is going to look not so good w/ Revis on the other side.
    2) w/ Revis out ... Cro wasn't targeted as much ... the dropoff in CB play after Cro was pretty big.
    3) I think a lot of #1 receivers are also deep threats & Cro is good against those type of patterns.

just because he sucks against other qb's and wr's doesnt mean that he sucks against jay cutler and the bears wr's ... he picked dude off four times in a single game, cutler let his ego cost his team that game

Yes, some people that actually WATCHED Cromartie. Cromartie was not bad but he wasn't a top 10 corner and was very inconsistent all year long. I think people tend to overrate him and based on these subjective #s that will continue.

I agree with the overall assessment that Revis and Cromartie are the best cb tandem in the league.

When I see Sean Smith as the #6 CB in the league, I discredit most of the 'detailed' stats.

Mevi$, CroPapa, and Kdub, are my favorites to cheer for and it helps that the starting duo is pretty damn good. Cromartie is a gifted player and his contributions to the secondary I think have been undervalued by many. I can relate because honestly I'd rather be watching and urging on Kyle Wilson. What can I say?

    "I don't like Cromartie, he's used dick!"

I have not watched enough of the other corners in this league to say they are the best duo, but they shouldn't be far off if there is better. As much as I'd like to use these stats to support claims of Jets domination, we know that checking yes or no boxes can't add explaination to your reasoning.

Cromartie has some outragiously good plays and coverage out there this year, but when it comes to full speed contact/tackling I remember a few times where he looked like he could have been the other teams blocker. Not exactly the image I was hoping for: I want to think of Jets on D flying to take fuckers out, not providing escort. I realize shit happens, but just sayin'.

    ALSO, just incase:

I like the Outsiders, but believe there is a lot more work to be done before these numbers help overall evaluations, especially with corners and the secondary. It's just a starting point for the ideas they trying to work out.

I think the stat providers might admit as much. The film they watch and chart I believe is all the same footage we watch... I know I don't get a chance to see what all goes on back there on TV, so take it for what its worth. It also looks like they used a heavy hand filtering out unworthy attempts (ie. screens, hail mary, tipped, etc.). I would think watching the film alone would be a better tool then some of this info., ignoring the fact, the definition of shut down corner would be excluded from their best corner list. (Unlike some other teams, and with some credit to Cro, they had to try throwing it somewhere, I guess.)

Not so sure about that., If hes not a top 10 corner hes close.
If I could choose, I would say more often than not hes around that area week in week out.
For me hes a shit or bust CB, he takes risks that Revis also takes, but obviously without Revis' smarts.
The one area of Cro's play that pisses me off is his lack of physical play

They are using subjective statistics. Anyone w/ eyes could see Cromartie had ups and downs this year, he was ok- nothing more. To say he was a top 10 corner in the NFL is laughable and you know it.

    Lmao!

For the record, I watched the games, and I think Cromartie is underrated by some people here. Must be I came to that conclusion despite what I saw all year!

Of course he wasn't a top 10 corner, that was only one metric they showed. The point is there are a number of people acting like he was no good and I believe he was a damn good #2 cb. We now have two independent sites that do in depth analysis and film review showing numbers that are favorable to him.

I don't have time to go back and look right now but I think you've said he was awful.

I never said he was awful for the season. He had a decent season but he was torched in a few big games. He played well our last 2 playoff games so overall I was happy w/ him but he wasn't worth a 2nd rd pick which is what we had to give up for him.

I want to keep him at the right price but I wouldn't be upset if he lost him like I would be if we lost Holmes or Edwards.

No doubt. Other than a few lousy penalties when he knew he was going to get beat (these probably worked out in the end) the guy was stout.

Just like the get rid of Schotty talk, who is coming in that's better for the team at this point with a year in than Cromartie?
