How about commiting to play 60 minutes of football if we ever get to a Championship game, instead of 30 minutes the last 2 years.
Hey Woody, let's cut the refs salaries in half for screwing up so many calls. That is not to say that they do intentionally but how do you not call that hit plus the elbow on Mark Sanchez when he went down feet first after calling a roughing penalty on Eric Smith for bumping the receiver after a high throw? How do you not call a penalty when Keller was taken down in he end zone before the ball got there? This was just the last game. We can find botched calls like that in many other games. The fans care about the refs not deciding games too, you know. Now go sell some high priced PSLs.
Are you sure it didn't read: Dear Fans, I am confident that there will be NFL football in 2011. Additionally please know that I am as committed to bringing you a championship as I am to sucking your bank account dry with PSL's. Sincerely, Robert Wood Johnson IV
So the guy who inherited billions and bought a football team, then worked on ways to milk every last cent out of the fans is committed to winning a championship just as soon as he and his buddies find a way to get another collective billion dollars back from the players and make them play 2 extra games?
Woody has been very committed to building a winning team, no one can say otherwise. Sooner or later all teams will have PSLs, if not a PSL a insanely high ticket price. This isn't baseball, owners get 8 home games and that's it.
Seems more fitting to lump these two together. Your statement makes so much sense, obviously those 2 extra games would be played for free. The New stadium only cost Woody about $750 million, obviously he should just front that cost. What really pisses me off is that since Woody bought the Jets in 2000 we've only been to the playoffs 6 times, it's obvious he's not spending money on the team. I purchased PSLs, was I happy? Hell no, but I get it. You're just bitchin just to bitch. Everyone is so quick to jump on the owners like it's a problem that they're rich enough to own a franchise.
How about the NFL makes the officials full time employees then they could spend more time learning how to correctly call games.
