Ok, the Mets are averaging 6 runs a game with turkey and 5.3 runs a game without. As the sample size is quite small(6 games) I think a closer inspection of the numbers are in order.

The first 2 turkey games were great sucesses, with the Mets scoring 7 and 13 runs and winning both games. The past 4 however have been pretty disappointing, with the Mets scoring 3 runs or less in 3 out of the 4 games, while losing 3 as well.

Unless we see a strong performance from the bats today I think it's time to move on.

I'll give you an A- for this. Nice analysis, but I would have liked to have seen some graphical support - time series plots of the turkey and non-turkey scoring patterns, for example.

Oh, and as far as karma goes, it seems obvious to me that it is the TGG game threads that account for the team's success this year, not lunch meat.

110pm start today hopefully it doesn't rain or the turkey will drown.turkey is not smart enough to close or swallow when rain fills up in its mouth.

A rain out wouldn't be the worst thing in the world today. The team is going to be dead in the water today and would need a dominating Pedro performance to win, something he doesn't seem capable of giving lately.

is turkey still in play for the 2nd half of the season? once again the mets have got trachsel pitching a turkey game and are going to need all the run support he's been getting lately.
