That's a fantastic picture of Rocky Dennis. The AJ Hawk comparison is great, but that Dennis picture is hilarious in its own right.
We MUST sign Hawk to continue our pursuit of every first-round pick in the 2006 draft. D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Nick Mangold, Antonio Cromartie, Santonio Holmes... Who's next?
I'm sure Maroney will be cut pretty soon. And we can get Mathias Kiwanuka for a second round pick. I mean, if we had one. I'd like to test out what would happen if you fielded a team with 22 first round picks from one draft year. Some guys will have to play both ways, and Vince Young will have to play guard, but it's worth a try.
I would think the Giants would have major interest. I don't understand these guys that get cut because the team doesn't want to make a scheduled payment to them, then want to re-sign with that team. I understand he lives there and I understand they are a SB contender now every year because of the QB, but as a businessman he should tell them to F off.
Look at it this way, we didn't get any closer than we are now with the 2000 draft - and the NFL even spotted us a four-pick start that year to give us a chance. By the time we got Thomas Jones and Bubba Franks, some of the original four had gone. It was a complete shambles and there's just no point in going after Plaxico Burress now. That horse has bolted. This time I think the front office knows what it's doing.
That's kinda surprising. Sure he's always been average but still they just won the SB with him starting because Barnett was on IR... now they cut him? ha
