shame, he was a very good player on a great defense. and as a notre dame guy i always pulled for him. really is sad to see a guy die so young. and of course because it isnt blake griffin or carmelo anthony or nfl strike talk it gets buried on the nfl page on espn
Duerson was not a superstar. Had he been a major player, then it would have been much bigger news. That's just the way it is.

Duerson was a good guy who seemed to have lost his mind in recent years due to brain damage that he received from playing football.
Obviously no one knows the details on this specific case yet, but if I was a former NFL player I would be scared shitless at this point. Maybe it's better now for the current players, but who knows? This is also why you'll never hear me complain about rules designed to protect the players, even if the players don't like it.
