Since this idiot was made commissioner the NFL (IMO) has become a worse league because of his 'politically correct' decisions and allegiances within the league, seemingly with some owners and senior team staff. Personally, I would like to see the back of him if its at all possible. If Goodell went, who would you want in?

....The fuck? I'm not in love with the guy but it is kind of weird the way he generates such an extreme backlash. The NFL probably would find it hilarious that, following 3 years where TV ratings have been just fucking KILLING IT, super bowls have been good, quality of play has been really good, that a bunch of people are on a website devoted to THEIR PRODUCT talking about how much its been ruined. Yeah, the game has been ruined to the point where none of us treat the super bowl like a national holiday anymore...oh wait. Do fines for helmet-helmet hits and penalties for them (anyone notice this happening much in the playoffs, by the way?) really piss this many people off this much?
Let me put it this way. If Roger Goodell was compared to backup quarterbacks in regards to producing results.....he would be Jim Sorgi. The NFL was in good hands with Tagliabue....Goodell inherited a good situation...and now he's fucking it up. I'm not talking about revenue generation (because that was there before Goodell was in power) either. I'm talking about rule changes, disciplinary cases, CBA...etc.
I've spent the last year, praying for him every night. Praying that he actually came down with cancer, the really shitty kind like liver or pancreatic cancer where the chance at prolonged life is between nil and no. Praying that cancer would finally strike him, and that he'd wither away in bed, all while knowing that those whom he tried to pull one over on finally got the last laugh. Just die already, seriously. The world will be a much better place.
That's because it's football. People will watch football, write about football, read about football, and full-on geek out over football no matter who the commish is, but that doesn't mean fans can't think he's doing a shitty job.
Rozelle, Tagliabue and then Goodell...what's wrong with that picture? He is a complete fool, pimp and embarrassment to the game.
I'm not saying fans can't give their opinion if they think he's doing a bad job. I just think the criticism is over the top and most of the time makes no sense. He overexposes himself and puts himself into the spotlight too much...but at the end of the day, the NFL's revenue blows all the other North American sports for a reason, and it's been increasing for the past decade for a reason too. People say the sport is turning into some sort of "pussy" game and it's turning into arena ball with all offense. These people just don't seem to be around when the NFL time after time, in spite of itself and against all intentions allows 4 defense oriented teams to make the conference championships and by some miracle allows low scoring playoff games. I also wonder where the fuck these people are after one of those plays that come around once in awhile where it literally looks like someone might die on the field. Austin Collie and Ellis Hobbes would agree that the sport has gone soft this year, no doubt.
Tagliaboob never did anything, and was lambasted for it. Goodell does too much, and is lambasted for it. But since they work for the owners, and not the fans, their actions, or lack thereof, don't really need our approval.
I'm never a fan of getting rid of a guy unless there is a better guy for the job. Unless there is a name I'm not calling for his head
