Good news, hope it gets done. Of all the FAs, Harris is the most justifiable to use the franchise tag on, since he's probably deserving of top-5 ILB money while Holmes, Edwards, Cromartie etc. aren't top-5 at their position.

Whats so great about him again? Last I checked we supposedly have 2 lock down corners but that is nullified by the defense getting lit up in the middle of the field. What position does he play? oh yea thats right middle linebacker. His run defense must be all world for him to be considered any good. Too bad he couldn't even do that in the AFC Championship game. OVERATED!!!

$9 million for Harris would mean $15 million tied up just in ILB for the year. Our OLBs will be making a combined $10 million. Just doesn't seem right for a 3-4 team to be neglecting the outside like that. Our money should be spent on a solid NT and a impact OLB. $9 million just seems like too much for what Harris brings to the table.

I'm not sure we'll be looking at the same LBs corps regardless of Harris coming back or not.

I don't think this decision is the no brainer for the FO that a lot of people on here seem to think it will be.

I'm starting to question his price tag, too. Harris is a sick ILB, so is Scott, but to have both of them making $9m/per is pretty steep.... I hope we can keep him, though, he's a really good ILB even if he's avg in coverage.

How the **** can he be suspect in coverage and at the same time be a top 5 player? WTF our run defense isn't that good to justify 10mil a year for a suspect in coverage linebacker.

I think the Jets have allowed only 3 RB's gain more than 100 yards since mid last season.

Jets were the 3rd ranked rush defense if the NFL this season.

He may look nice in a Steelers jersey. Farrior sure does.

By all means, spend your cap space on Harris instead of resigning Woodley. We'll thank you later.

The Steelers thank you for taking Farrior off your hands. You guys wasted an 8th overall pick, couldn't see his potential and considered him a "bust"...ouch

Wouldn't put that on Rex's regime though. It was previous coaches that didn't know wtf they werer doing w/ Farrior & got rid of him.

Sounds like pure speculation from Glauber to me.
