say what you want, especially the jackasses who love to say "same old jets", but we had a helluva year and i cant remember being more excited/happy/proud of our team. We came up short and thats the nature of sports, only one wins it all. Never have I had such confidence in a Jets team as i do with this one and I know its our time. We've beat the best teams and hung with the best of them with a young QB, suspect playcalling, and a defense that runs on more heart than talent. The Jets will be playing in a superbowl and riding down the canyon of heroes very soon. Hold your heads up cause were gonna be the team to beat for years to come
it was a good fun year and i'm proud of the way they battled tonight. there's no promises for next year or the future. no one can say that. too much can happen.
Okay douche. I'm 37 and without a SB title. My Dad is in his 70's. He's gone 42 years without a title. You are cool though. Call us "jackasses". Whatever.
totally agree. proud of Mark and the team, and love Rex. it hurts, really hurts, but it was a nice ride, and brought alot of people together.
There's NOTHING positive in losing a championship game. This league is all about winning Super Bowls...we can't even GET there! He can take his positive outlook and shove it up his ass.
Bro you still have that chris childs punching kobe pic ? get rid of that shit that was what like 10 years ago ?
hey listen....none of us are fond of the game's outcome....I'm tired of losing just like everyone else....but if someone wants to take a positive spin to help them deal with the loss....then good on them. There's no reason to kick sand in his face......and if you don't like it......just move on from the thread.
I'm 48. I've gone through the 1969 playoff upset loss to KC at Shea when we should have repeated as Super Bowl champs against a weak Minnesota team. I've gone through Namath's knee operatons. I've gone through Pat Leahy missing a PAT vs. Oakland and Richard Todd's 440 yard game going for naught. I've gone through Bruce Harper fumbling the kickoff and Bill Simpson picking off Todd in the EZ in 1981. I've gone through the f****** Mud Bowl. I've gone through blowing a 10-pt. lead to Cleveland in 3:48 seconds to end the 1986 collapse. I've gone through the Bruce Coslet years. I've gone through the 1993 collapse. I've gone through the 1994 collapse. I've gone through the Kotite years. I've gone through watching Leon Johnson throw an INT to end the 1997 collapse. I've gone through watching Bill "The Genius" Belichick's defense collapse in the 1999 AFC CG. I've gone through Rick Mirer as Vinny's backup in 1999 (great call, Parcells). I've gone through the Al Groh collapse in 2000. I've gone through the Herm years. I'm tired folks. Tired. And I'm not sure how much more of this frustration I can stand.
Well...we have a coach that has got us to the AFCCG in his first years.....we also have a QB who is very young, but is capable of winning big games (on the road). We fell short today....but this team is certainly on the right path. I've been a fan for 16 years....I joined the bandwagon the year Keyshawn was drafted....so I haven't been around as long as you have.....but our time will come. We're so close.
What about being happy the night that Sanchez proved he could perform at a top level against the #1 defense in the nfl, @ their stadium, in one of the coldest playoff games ever, with a trip to the superbowl on the line ? Maybe its just me but ive never had a franchise QB before so im pretty god damn happy. Especially when you compound that with Green being a playoff machine.
there's nothing wrong with staying positive. Tonight sucks....but don't bring anybody else down.....fucking douchebags do that sort of thing.
I'm 34 and I may have to Cryogenically Freeze myself like Walt Disney just to have enough time on this earth to see the Jets in a super bowl. In the year 2345 they can thaw me out to enjoy the game and the Rolling Stones at halftime since they will probably still be going strong!
