I don't know if anyone else posted about this, but I'm genuinely concerned about Weatherford going into this AFC Championship Game. He had a terrific season, but has looked awful these past two playoff games and I fully expect this game on Sunday to be a real field position battle. I guess it makes no difference since its not like the Jets are gonna change punters or anything, but I'm just wondering if it has crossed anyone else's mind...
I believe Weatherford will be fine this week. He had one of his best games against them and he knows what it's like to kick their already.
^^This. Against the Pitts earlier in the year he was absolute money pinning punts down in their 20. We managed to get a safety too.
I really like Weatherford as our punter and he has had a very good season, but I'm also worried about his recent struggles. Hopefully whatever is wrong can be corrected this week.
also haven't some of his punts barely been going in to the endzone like with cole barely touching the line on a few? i do believe hes going to be in for a good game Sunday. i'm not concerned about him
He'll be fine. He's our long term punter. He's not gunna shank one like he did in the 45-3 game. He just hasn't gotten the coffin corner punt in a couple of games. It happens.
Putting them on the 20 yard isnt all that bad, but if we can pin them within the 10 it will be very helpful.
I can't explain it, but I have no worries about Weatherford. He's been money all season. For some reason our kicking game just disappears in Foxboro. Folk and Weatherford will be fine this game.
Guys I heard Weatherford just had surgery. They had to remove Mike Westhoff's boot from his ass. He will be fine this game.............

I predict we're gonna need solid special teams play this week. We did last time. Remember...14 of our 22 points came by ST's. And Weatherford kept them on their side all game.
