Retire his number NOW!!!! I feel his positive presence already... http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/news/story?id=6038895
That's dope. I wish i coulda been a fly on the wall in that locker room during his speech. Whatever it was gave Braylon the power to drag 2 pro bowlers into the endzone. Lol
I got seriously choked up when LT and Ihedigbo walked out carrying a jersey with his name and number. I'm gonna straight up cry when I see him walk out with them this week.
byrd is an unbelievable story of perserverence, and as terrible as that day was. As awful that it ever had to happen, if it had to happen, I am glad it happened to a Jet. The inspirational story, the inspirational comeback that he has had is amazing. It will be inspiring people for generations. I couldnt be more proud that a Jet is able to do something like this, that can help so many people. It's time to finish this Pittsburgh Delenda Est.
this is a great move by the team. i can barely remember it (i was 4 at the time), but it will be amazing seeing him out there with the team
It's a touching story for sure. There's no denying there's a lot of heart on the Jets. All we got going for us is that it's Myron Cope's birthday on the 23rd... anyway, here's to hoping that Byrd does as little for the Jets' play as Ed Reed's dip in the Mississippi did for the Ravens...
They need to officially retire his jersey next year -- they already do not issue the number 90 to players anyway -- and break out the old 80s throwbacks as well.
Oh cut the crap. Between Brien missing the two field goals in that one playoff game and Seattle getting completely hosed in that SB, haven't you guys gotten enough gifts? Even that Ravens game last weekend, another gift wrapped refereed gift. Our turn to win one of these !!!!
