it just goes to show you how much the players love playing for this team and take pride in the organization and really buy into the whole 'team' idea. Speaks alot for what they have done this year.
Think about it the steelers were heavy favorites in that superbowl. This game everyone & their mama had the PATS picked after the 45-3 beatdown. It's a very sweet victory to shut all the haters up!! I am Loving this,1game away from seeing my team in the superbowl I can not wait!!!
I think this is merely tone taking a dig at the stillers. Sure he fucking loved sticking it to the pats on Sunday night, but it couldnt have been more exciting then hoisting the VLT as MVP... It also might very easily be a prisoner of the moment thing. Its been a while since he won a ring. Sunday is fresh in his mind, it could simply be the pure excitement of it being fresh over-rode the memory of the excitement of winning a ring. Not that I equate this to a SB victory in any way... but I am still an athlete at the college level, and kicking the shit out of your rivals, particularly the ones who have owned you for years, and knocking them out of a state tournament was much more exciting than winning the state title the next weekend. Not that winning the state title wasnt exciting, just not on par as overcoming the big bad bully...
Are you serious? First of all, there's zero chance of Holmes getting complacent against the team that threw him under the bus and gave him away last offseason. Second of all, it's the AFC Championship Game for fuck's sake. Do you really think that a proven big game player won't be able to find motivation playing his former team for a chance to play in the Super Bowl? I think that Holmes was just trying to get a dig in at the Steelers. But it's also possible that he's telling the truth--he's been through a lot of shit since XLIII, and the perspective that he's gained from his legal problems and trade may have made this playoff run taste legitimately sweeter than the others.
What exactly did I make up? You are afraid that Santonio Holmes is going to get complacent going into the AFCCG. I say that there is absolutely zero chance of that happening. Don't be a little bitch about it.
well i think he is taking it as a perspective...he thinks that win for the franchise was huge and him making his play goes in history for us. The steelers have won 6 times and santonio was sent away...I guess its the after taste now. But people probably looked at 6 titles at the steelers franchise and set a bar that winning them is just adding to the pedigree...For us this is a rarity
I don't know what's more idiotic, insecure fans thinking the Jets are satisfied or fearful fan of the Jets opponent attempting to convince himself he isn't worried and reaching for ridiculous reasons for why the Jets will lose.
Amazing to me the double standard in Steeler country. I hope giving us a fantastic playmaker bites them in the ass.
Most teams run the same bread and butter plays for years. Santonio was part of those plays and i'm sure rex or petin has asked Tone what may be headed our way Sunday as for as 'security blanket, clutch time plays' the squeelers love to run in do or die crunch time.
