The only thing holding Revis back on that list is just 2-3 more seasons of doing it at his current level. The guy covers like a wet blanket.
why can't people understand that no interceptions from a defensive player can actually be looked at in a positive light?
If revis plays two to three more years at this level and the jets pick up a ring, knock on wood, he should be the consensus number 1 pick. above deion.
The lunch lady at Revis' elementary school once gave him a free milk. She became comfortably retired in 2007.
If he wasn't a "play-maker" Rhonde, why don't QB's throw his way continually? Riddle me that............. Hell man if the guy doesn't make plays, throw his way. Hell I mean Taliq al Deion al aqsa Rod Woodson Talib is way way better he had an int this year and Revis didn't. I love cracker jack analysis, fucking love it.
Revis sucks he only has 1 career sack. And wtf hes the worst cornerback in the nfl in dead last for ints.
I like Ronde Barber but Aqib Talib is nowhere near Revis. For a seasoned veteran to come out and make the stats argument is mind-boggling. Pittsburgh delenda est.
I saw the interview, and Ronde was saying that he doesn't really make game changing plays, like get INTs and scoring TDs, which is true. But he didn't say that Revis is not good like some of you are making it sound. He said Revis was a great player. Maybe he should have said he is great in a different way And he din't say Aqib Talib is better or as good as Revis. He said that he was also a great player and shutdown corner. The writer in this article decided to say that he was putting him on the same level as Revis
Revis never forgets because he hasnt any retaining memory to draw upon. Case in point, his wonderlic score that registered _ . As for mentioning him in the same breath as Rod Woodson, that should be a compliment to Revis, not Woodson. Woodson could single-handedly dominate a defense. He was the most complete CB to play the game and could do everything asked of him. Cover any WR (ask Irvin about his ability in the Super Bowl, coming off an ACL tear), blitz, play the run...anything. Woodson > Revis and there is no comparison.
This pisses me off to no end. Reggie Wayne. 1 catch, 1 yard. Calvin "Megatron" Johnson. 1 catch, 13 yards. Andre Johnson. 4 catches, 32 yards. Terrell Owens. 3 catches, 17 yards. ...he takes the offense's best WR threat and makes him non-existent. How is that NOT game-changing? I'd rather have Revis negate a WR the entire game, instead of getting a pick every few games while giving up yards and TDs.
Revis just needs the longevity. The level he's played at for the last 3 seasons has him at 1a or 1b amongst CBs in the game today, but 3 years is not enough to enter all-time discussions.
