Al Davis has always been in love with Offense. The Raiders had decent offensive numbers, so he went in the direction for which he is known.
Hue Jackson is a good OC and prob will be a decent HC but I feel like Cable's character was holding the ship together in Oakland. We'll see... a lot will probably depend on who they'll hire as a DC.
Al Davis just confirmed all of the jokes we've made about him for the past decade. He is missing something upstairs, and he's still in charge. I bet they win 2 games next season.
I heard Al Davis' press conference live on NFL radio, and it was the weirdest formation of words to make sentences I ever heard. He went on to praise writers that backed his decision on some unknown player and was talking about random shit. Even the NFL radio guys were laughing.
I don't think Tom Cable was a good coach in terms of decisions, but the players worked hard for him and that counts for a lot. I think they ended their season on a high note but the move is going to cost them to move backwards yet once again....
