For sending us the #5 pick that got us Sanchez and for trading us Braylon Edwards.

You know, alot of guys fired -- after tough circumstances -- might have held a grudge against the team that fired him (even though it was Woody's call and not Mike T's). He didn't. By all accounts, he still has a good relationship with MT and thank god he does.

Alot of the players we have were also drafted by Eric and MT (Reevis, etc) and others brought in.

Here's to Eric Mangini, a good guy, doing some good work now on ESPN and hopefully back as either a HC or DC in the NFL.

Mangenious definitely left his mark on the composition of this roster, even if he couldn't motivate a turd to stink. Thanks Mangini!

Not for nothing here but he also brought us the immortal Vernon Ghoston too. Guess with Sanchez, we can call it a wash.. :)

Guy was good as soon as he busted Belichick for spygate in 2007.

He owed us for Gholston. Speaking of which how often do teams miss on a #6 pick and rebound to make it to the title game 2 years in a row a year after missing on said draft pick?

Yeah, I forgot about that. Has anybody heard anything to the rumor that Mangini or someone on the Jets reached out to the Pats and WARNED THEM they were aware of the past taping and NOT to try it at the Meadowlands ? That's supposedly when the Jets turned them in, when they didn't stop even when told not to do it through back channels.

He picked the Patriots. Rex owes him in many ways though for sure. Already had some pieces in place for Rex, gave him 6 and 17. Its interesting.

mangini is a great coordinator, but he lacks the ability to be a everyday headcoach

He's good... but if we still had him it wouldn't be good. He did alot for the organization but we wouldn't be anywhere without Rex.

But his Post column said we could win the game and we did incorporate some of what he wrote (er, told, to Canizzarro).

No argument. But he's a good guy who NEVER should have been treated like s*** by a guy he idolized and worshipped, working as his gofer, all because he wanted to take the Jets job.

Belichick is classless. What if Parcells had said in January 2000, "F*** Bill, I'm gonna keep him from coaching the Patriots even if the Jets get no compensation."

Parcells saw the big picture. Belichick was too seflish.
