Yeh I noticed that too. He wants the ball, I appreciate that, but he needs to get in line, he needs to earn respect, he's not gonna get it from one good run at the end of last year. LT has earned the right to get the ball in those situations.
I love watching Rex wired.. great stuff. That was the first video I've seen of Edwards doing his backflip too. Impressive.
wow he does not look pleased...maybe he runs a long one on Sunday. I loved the end when Schotty asked Rex do you want to run it or throw it to get closer ... rex comes back with I could give to shits
>> I laughed at this. It just goes to show you not only how much respect Rex has for Adam Vinatieri, but it also shows that Rex was saying/thinking the same thing Jets fans were (just check the game thread). That audio/video should be shown at Vinatieri's HoF induction, because even as a Jets fan, I bet that anyone who is a player/coach/fan in the NFL who has had to face him in a game changing situation has thought/said the same. >> The other great part (4min 18sec mark of the video) was on the sideline after Caldwell's inexplicable timeout, where Schotty is like, "Rex, hold on, do you want to run the ball or try to get closer?" And Rex is like, "Hell yeah we have got to get closer guys." Schotty, "Do you want to run it to do it?" Rex, "Yeah, or throw it. I could give two sh*ts. Let's Go." >> Shoots down Francesa (again) and others who said the Jets were perfectly willing to center the ball and let Folk kick a 50+ yard attempt, UNTIL Caldwell called the timeout. It also confirms what Rex said during the Monday press conference (paraphrasing, "we were going to call the timeout and go for more yards if Caldwell didn't call the timeout anyway"), again, where Mike accused him of essentially covering for Caldwell.
seriously, what the fuck was that?! I mean he did the grunt work that drive so I guess I can kind of see his POV but this is the playoffs. Check your ego at the door.
Schotty: Do you want to run the ball to try to get closer? Rex: Hell yeah, we want to get closer. Schotty: But do you want to run it to do it? Rex: Yeah. Or throw it. I could give two shits.
Some fella on the Patriots forum thought this was the proof needed to prove how inferior a coach Rex is compared to Yahweh himself Belichik. Lord Belichik would never do anything short of micromanage every play he claimed. I still think Rex is the best thing to happen to our franchise in years.
How fucking calm is Manning when he threw that first td pass and he just walks off the field? He's like a damn robot. "This fuckers automatic, come on miss one for once in your fucking life you @#@*$%" Fucking Schotty, do you wanna run it or throw it to get closer?
If you pay attention also when Schotty is askin rex is he wants to run or pass braylon looks like hes ready to ask for the ball and he starts talkin about how they are playin press coverage before it cuts him off.
