Say what? You are not making any sense at all. So, in a situation where you have the option of: A: Big-time receiver with blocking ability B: Big-time receiver you'd go with option B, and get a run blocking WR to replace the option A? Are you smoking something? What about the big-play capability that is lost? B will draw the double coverage just like A would if B is lost. AND the run-blocking is lost too. You need to find a receiver with that credential. Good luck with that. There are a lot of receivers that are good - maybe not at run blocking - that can replace option B. Option A? Name one.
I think Cromartie will make his best case next Sunday. If he struggles..he's gone. If he makes a big play or two..then we'll see.
Firstly, try to find a way to keep them both. This is a sick tandem, if we have to cut Cotch, BT, and others so be it.
both make big plays, but i feel braylon helps our run offense...he really doesnt get alot of recognition for his run blocking skills...hes a great run blocker...holmes not so much...and he's also a great coach...telling rex to go for it on 4th and 1 in pittsburgh and last night telling sanchez he has that corner beat all day and to throw it up to him....Braylon is the first priority... braylon harris holmes b. smith cromartie pool but sign braylon!
I have really been noticing this too this year, Braylon's blocking has opened up some huge lanes that would not have been there otherwise. The thing is its not just like little chip blocks but some Hines Ward man sized blocks! This alone makes him more valuable in my opinion not to mention the tremendous grabs he's had this year aswell. He honestly has looked like a new player since the whole DUI incident. I believe the best thing we could do is coach up Kyle Wilson not to be a bum. I mean come on in comparison look at what rookies like Earl Thomas is doing and right at this moment Eric Berry, what happens is we drop Cro coach up Wilson thus keeping both Braylon and Santonio
holmes is a good player but he drops too many passes braylon has had drop problems in the PAST but this yr he has been very solid and is just a better weapon with his size
He cost us a #2 draft pick. He's not going ANYWHERE unless Ashmogouda comes to play for 1/2 his market price opposite Revis.
Braylon fits our offensive style NOW. Holmes is the type of receiver we will need when Sanchez matures. If you asked me point blank with no time to think about it then I would probably say Braylon but it's going to be difficult picking between the two. I really don't think we can let one go and not regret it. New England delenda est.
Disagree. We need Bray more, not just for the running game but he has been clutch on a lot of less glamorous catches that got us the win. His catch yesterday sealed the deal for me. If we cant have them both then Bray is the real deal to support our offensive style.
Edwards over Holmes for me, but would love to keep them both. Edwards has had a hell of a year, wants to be a Jet, and is not one joint away from a year long suspension
Ill tell you right now if we lose one of them why are going to have to draft a WR but in the later rounds but still I rather keep both let's see what tanny can do
It was shown Saturday night but he does it a lot. Blocking. Hopefully he signs for less given the DUI or DWI. Dont know what he got. Edwards over Holmes right now.
