I doubt he'll come here, but it wouldn't surprise me if the Lions made a serious run at him. If I had to guess, then I'd say he lands in Houston or Dallas.
Interesting. Why not? I mean, for me, but for all the $ we have to shell out to keep more important pieces under a new cap next year, I'd love the thought of a Revis/Namdi backfield. So I'm curious about dissenting opinions.
I'd like him here but not under a 6 year deal, maybe 3. Last year during the pro-bowl he said he wanted to play with revis. I know it was pro-bowl banter but still....
I'd like to see him play safety for the Jets. He reminds me so much of Troy Vincent, who was once a great corner that moved to safety later in his career.
You answered it yourself. We have several more important pieces to our team to give deals to. Harris, Braylon, Holmes, etc... He's going to demand a bigger contract than Cromartie. Sure the production may be a bit better, but we need to be able to sign guys to pass rush, which would in turn, elevate our CB play.
We don't have the money for this. Don't forget that David Harris is about to get paid, big time and that keeping Edwards and Holmes should be a huge priority.
"omg sign him. he will play for the jets for free he wants to win a championship. omgzzzzzzzzzz" hehe.
Gotcha. If it's just a money thing, I understand. Wasn't sure if that was his focus or he just didn't like him as a player/fit for our D. Mr. E's idea of moving him to safety is intruiging too.
But yeah, it's a pipe dream because the Jets have so many pieces up on contract. Maybe they tender some of the restricted guys and get some picks and room to sign other players, we will see.
My Question is do we really need Brad Smith now? We saw how electric Cro was with the Kick Returns. The only other thing for Smith is the Wildcat?
