    Per the Jets twitter account:

    RB Joe McKnight
    CB Isaiah Trufant
    DE Vernon Gholston
    OL Vlad Ducasse
    DT Jarron Gilbert
    TE Jeff Cumberland
    DT Marcus Dixon

Kellen Clemens is the third QB.

Both selections a little surprising. Neither is a shocker though.

We need as many DBs as possible. Wasn't enough for McKnight to have a spot on STs for this one.

I was hoping to see McKnight get a few touches. Not a big deal to have either of them inactive though.

Against Peyton, any secondary help is key.

You would think Trufant would have been active.

The last time the Jets did this was in Week 6 against Denver, and the Broncos ended up running the ball pretty effectively early on that week. The Colts are going to have some early success on the ground tonight if the Jets overcompensate for the pass. It's a compromise they're willing to live with if it slows down the pass, but it's also a bit of a gamble.

A little surprised JM isn't active. Thought they might mix it up and try to build on last weeks momentum by giving him a few touches.

Isn't that what burned the Giants against the Colts? Not enough DLs dressed?

I was hoping he would get a chance to return some punts.

As reported earlier Saturday by NFL Network reporter Albert Breer, the Indianapolis Colts have made outside linebacker Clint Session (elbow) inactive for the AFC wild-card game against the New York Jets.

The Colts also declared starting right tackle Ryan Diem (back) inactive.

Notable Jets inactives include defensive end Vernon Gholston, who played all 16 regular-season games, and running back Joe McKnight, who rushed for 158 yards in the Jets’ Week 17 victory over the Buffalo Bills.

Right Tackle Damien Woody returns to the Jets lineup after missing the past three weeks with a knee injury.

Breer reports that the Jets will start Dwight Lowery over Eric Smith at safety, alonside Brodney Pool.

    Complete inactives:

    Colts

    LB Clint Session

    RT Ryan Diem

    G Jamey Richard

    RB Javarris James

    DB Al Afalava

    G Jaimie Thomas

    T Joe Reitz

    DT Antonio Johnson

    Jets

    QB Kellen Clemens (third QB)

    RB Joe McKnight

    CB Isaiah Trufant

    DE Vernon Gholston

    OL Vlad Ducasse

    DT Jarron Gilbert

    TE Jeff Cumberland

    DT Marcus Dixon

same. eric smith might be smarter but lowery is capable of making big plays as we've seen.
