... win three postseason games. Namath, Todd and Pennington had two each. Ryan and Testaverde had one each. My apologies if this has been posted before, but that strikes me as a pretty amazing stat. Full records: Namath 2-1 Todd 2-2 O'Brien 0-2 Ryan 1-1 Testaverde 1-2 Pennington 2-3 Sanchez (so far) 2-1
Amazing stat that really shows the lack of continuity and consistency the Jets have had at the QB position over the years. That's all in the past tho, Go Jets!
Ugh!!! Reminds of all the losing and disappointment that comes with being a fan of this organization. Hopefully Rex along with Sanchez continue to erase the stench of SOJ.
I agree, that's all in the past, but thank God I didn't have to go through the 70s! It also shows how we are enjoying the best sustained period in Jets history. regular playoff appearances since 1998 (cue Champ in 3... 2... 1).
I know that people love to rip Pennington, but he's got 2 more games than anyone else on the list. Pretty sad.
Chad was one of the better QBs in Jets history. Even though that doesn't say much... Anyway let's hope that Sanchez can one day become a bigger legend than Broadway Joe.
We win Saturday, i'm confident that this is our year. I had the confidence til we started losing games late..but it's been slow to come back. I'm just glad we're in the dance. You can only knock so much before eventually breaking the damn door in.
Also consider the fact that Sanchez has already won more playoff games than the Dallas Cowboys have in the last 15 years.
That's what mediocrity gets you. There's no curse, there's no SOJ bullshit. The teams are just never that good.
Pathetic QB Post-Season Wins Not Surprising... ... considering the NYJ have won like, what, 4 Division Titles in all of their history? But hey, so far this decade (since '01) the NYJ are 82-78 not including a 4-5 PlayOff record. And we can't forget the 1 Division title in '02 with a modest 9-7 record! It's safe to say that the current QB will eventually earn the most post-season wins in franchise history.
